This is a huge old hotel on an urban traffic island. Excellent beer (Sharp's Sea Fury), friendly and welcoming staff, but a bit of traffic noise. I'm sure it's a listed building but some secondary glazing would be helpful. Mad taps - instead of hot and cold, you've got a LH tap with pressure and a RH one to switch H and C. It's bonkers - why change a system everybody understands for one know one does (they had to put up a sign explaining it). Comfy bed, but the TV was mounted over the narrow area to cross from one side of bed to the other, perfect to bang your head!

Peaceful, rural location and ideal for a lovely walk to Lyme Regis and buses back. Also convenient for driving to Seaton and Beer. Cosy, warm studio with nice decor, good size ensuite bathroom and lovely patchwork covers. Super clean. Great thought given to those little things - eg having a flask of milk in the bedroom, rather than those annoying cartons. Fabulous breakfast, with plenty of choice and freshly cooked. Very comfy bed, and wished I booked a second night.
