The hotel lives up to its name, it is very grand. The staff are exceptional and really attentive with the guest. The room was amazing, spacious, quiet and comfortable. The hotel was unbelievably clean and the cleaners did an amazing job. It’s walking distance to everything you could need and had such a range of facilities. Truly one of the, if not the, best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

The country style hotel was welcoming and the decor was tasteful and in keeping with style of property, it had a very warm homely feeling. Every staff member was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Although we didn’t eat there the food looked reasonable priced. Everywhere was spotless clean. Bus into York right across road.

Location was great for everything we wanted to do, breakfast was hit and miss and the room we stayed was OK- had the air conditioner breaking down but the staff were on it asap. There was NO fridge in the room so very difficult to keep the milk or anything that needed a fridge for it!
The Pearl Cow restaurant is a definite must to visit- amazing dinner!!
