A lovely quiet location ideally situated for walking with many trails to choose from literally just outside the front door. Stunning surroundings and an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle. Relaxing, good standard of food in and around the local area but within easy reach of the main motorways.
The Hood Arms, The Farmers Arms, The Lamb Inn are highly recommended. Walks to the Quantock Hills, Holford Combe and Kilve Beach are lovely walks to consider. Creams teas at the nearby Combe Hotel are also not to be missed.

Holford is a really pretty village and an ideal base to explore the Quantocks. The village has a friendly pub, The Plough Arms which offers good value food and there is a hotel, Combe House where we had afternoon tea in the garden.

The property was very good and the surroundings and furnishings were top quality.
It would be very difficult to get to the hotel without transport as it is about a mile off the main road, down a single track road and very remote. If you like peace and quiet and solitude it would be ideal.
The service was exemplary. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful. The evening meal was exceptional, so much so that we skipped the full breakfast the next day, limiting ourselves to the continental breakfast which was more than adequate and quite delicious.
The hotel could be found at the end of a narrow road, opening up to a large car park.
Characterful hotel in a great tucked away location for access to some fabulous country walks. Our room was a good size & very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Could do with lighter weight duvet for warmer weather. Staff very polite and helpful. Food exceeded expectations in restaurant with well spaced tables.
Good quiet location Lovely history with the property and surrounding buildings.
Welcoming and friendly greeting and hospitality, plus the evening meal was perfect.
It was nice to have the interactions with other guests, rather than the cold corporate type hotel stiffness.
I would highly recommend.
We spent a weekend at the hotel with our dog. The staff were so good and attentive to us. The rooms are cosy and luxurious. The hotel is situated right in the valley and ideal for country walks. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the hotel and we will book again 10/10
The hotel has maintained it's character since my first visit many years ago. The gardens are stunning and the interiors have been tastefully decorated and suit the style of the property. The staff were great, and I'd definitely stay again.
Great location in a peaceful setting. We loved being able to walk from the hotel into the Combe. The restaurant was very good as well. Lovely friendly staff. Large comfortable bed.
