Hooke is a hamlet, there is nothing there.
Hooke is a hamlet, there is nothing there. But it is near very picturesque villages, and towns like Beaminster, Bridport and Dorchester. Lyme Regis is not far and once you have a proper paper map in your hands and you can work out your routes, Hooke is a lovely central, yet quiet, location to all of it. Be prepared for narrow winding roads but also nice and considerate drivers. Lovely countryside all around and, of course, the Jurassic Coast.

Tiny village, no shops.
Tiny village, no shops. It was a good location for visiting surrounding attractions. Access was by narrow lanes where utmost care was needed to ensure the safety of horse riders round blind bends and oncoming traffic etc... Mostly very quiet but agricultural machinery made its' presence heard a couple of evenings.IanUnited Kingdom
