The area was busier than I expected, so that was my fault. I thought the place was a country inn but it is in an industrial part of a populous area. Locals seem to love the pub though!

Lovely village location. Plenty of parking. I was made to feel welcome the moment I walked in. Really friendly staff and the pub is obviously well cared for and managed. Food was really good. Room was compact, small en-suite shower, but spotlessly clean and comfortable and had everything needed. Perfect for an overnight stay to break the long journey on the A1.
