I didn't see much there other than a local pub, I can't say...
I didn't see much there other than a local pub, I can't say that I saw any other facilities. It's a good base to visit the dales, while easily accessible to the A1(M). A large Tesco and other shops in Catterick, about 3 miles away.

Lovely peaceful little village surrounded by beautiful countryside yet within easy reach of many interesting & historic places & areas, as well as large towns & cities if that's what you're looking for, all easily accessible by vehicle, taxi, bicycle, or public transport. Only a few miles from the A1M so very easy to reach from all directions. Pretty, friendly, quiet village with pub and shop / post office. Well-situated for trips round the Yorkshire Dales and to the coast. Plenty of take-away food available from nearby Catterick and Richmond.

Its friendliness and variety of activities are excellent. Breakfast very good.
