Central to visit other areas of Scotland most being couple of hours drive away A roads were good to travel on some of the B roads but scary in icy weather lovely area we stayed at Loch Insh with lovely comfortable chalets

Absolutely stunning, better than we could have asked for! Lodge was gorgeous and location was spectacular (makes coming home very sad). All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed archery 🏹 a day of watersports too which was also very reasonably priced. Coffee from the Boathouse was spot on and the meals were yummy! The location is lovely by the lochside, but that is to be expected for a water sports facility offering what it does. The rooms were clean and adequate though maybe small for a long stay. The bar and dinding area was large and airy and had lovely sunny outlook over the loch with open terrace and tables.

Great location for Highland Wildlife Park which we were visiting. Kitchen has microwave and tea, coffee etc to make your own breakfast or bring in food to eat in dining room. There is a pub nearby which will order in a takeaway for you. Love the paintings and military insignia.
