Graham at reception was so welcoming and helpful. I had to leave early the next morning and they prepared a breakfast tray the night before for me - so, so grateful! Comfortable and architecturally interesting hotel in an attractive small town. The history files in the hotel foyer (a particularly comfortable area) were fascinating. The common areas of the hotel all seemed very good - traditional and attractive. Our room (No 32) was in Gladstone - a solidly-built house immediately behind the main hotel; it was large and had two upholstered arm chairs, a table, and a desk; the bathroom was excellent (don’t add any cold water when drawing a bath, though - the hot water tap will give you a pleasantly warm bath). There are several good walks in and around the town - ideal for a dog.

The host is very gentle and easy to communicate with, giving a warm welcome and then letting space to instal and relax. The house is located in a quiet resident area on the top of the hill, with a nice view on the bay. The bedroom is tidy, clean and quite confortable. The bathroom is big and sparkles with glitters. Just a 5 minutes away from the city center by car, 30 by walk (perfectly fine if you don't mind ascending a few steep roads on the way back). I would most definitely go back when visiting Inverness!
