The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The building is amazing with all it’s nooks and crannies. We enjoyed our time in the spa, very relaxing, and the meal in the restaurant was delicious.
Sleek design is coupled with period charm at the Lavenham Great House in rural Suffolk. This 5-star hotel and restaurant provides stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi and a complimentary decanter of sherry.

Ideal location for a dog-friendly hotel. It's adjacent to Sudbury Water Meadows, a vast expanse of common land. The friendly and welcoming bar has in it the original water wheel still working, which makes quite a feature. Good range of food served throughout the day from breakfast, through brunch and evening meal. Dogs are not allowed in restaurant but staff are happy to serve my breakfast in the bar area so I could keep my dog with me.
Situated in a small town, this inn provides real ale, good home-cooked food from local suppliers, a fine wine menu and live entertainment on a regular basis.

The room was well equipped and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised just how quiet it was, as we have stayed in some places which have been quite noisy in the past. The full English breakfast was very welcome. We would be stay there again if we are stopping in that area.

Lavenham is one of the most delightful and beautifully preserved towns in Suffolk.
Quintessentially English and with fabulous local craft shops and Tea shops.
The hospitality of the shop keepers was excellent.
The guided tours and visit to St Peter's and St.Paul's Church was very interesting.
Long Melford is just 4 miles away and there you can visit Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall.
Lavenham is a place I will return to.

Some exquisite buildings, many beautifully preserved and one (the Guildhall) in the care of National Trust. A good selection of independent shops and places to eat ranged from good pub grub to fine dining.
Good also as a centre for visiting other Suffolk landmarks - don't miss Kersey or Finchingfield for unspoiled picturesque villages.

Lovely, ancient town with a good range of shops and amenities etc. The hotel provided a town map, which was really useful and informative. I imagine that it is really busy in summer months, but in March, it was not, so easy to park (free!) and walk around etc......highly recommended location in Suffolk and with a Harry Potter house, used in one of the films!

Lavenham as a town was beautiful, we loved the sense of History, but the house was very cold. We walked through the town in the evening, the Christmas lights and buildings were magical. We had tea in a small cafe opposite the Guildhall which was perfect. We had our evening meal at the Swan. We were the first guests and were privileged to be treated as though we were royalty. It was a magical experience in a truly wonderful setting. We went into an antique shop that was full of interesting items.
If I were to return, I would stay in a hotel like The Swan where my experience could be more predictable, rather than a self-catering holiday home.
We absutely loved this hotel. It was an experience. Located in the heart of beautiful Lavenham, this historic building is just amazing. The staff is excellent, service is top class and they actually care about the place and are very knowledgeable and passionate about it.
The food didn't disappoint, cocktails were dangerously good.
And to top it off the spa though it is small, it is perfectly adequate, clean and a nice extra in this wonderful hotel. Thank you
Lovely comfortable and homely accommodation in a quiet location just a few minutes walk from the center of Lavenham. 3 storey house which the children thought was really fun.
Very well equipped and the football table in the garage was a huge hit with the children as well as the dads! Plenty of on street parking available when we were there. We had 2 cars between us and managed to park both directly outside the property.
The hotel was excellent. It was the run-up to Christmas so the hotel was playing Christmas music, was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the surrounding village of Lavenham was so beautiful. The hotel itself, the decor and rooms, service and the food was absolutely perfect. A piece of heaven.
Excellent location, helpful staff, nice atmosphere in the pub, lovely room given the age of the property, comfortable bed, lovely view of the square. Reasonably priced for a location in the heart of Lavenham where we could walk to everything. Breakfast was also very nice and good value.
Penny Black Cottage is wonderful. Well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Unique decor and art work. Parking is on street but never an issue.
Great location in Lavenham and for exploring the local areas.
We were visiting for a funeral but would like to return for happier times.
Good location - on a street of modern houses but the Market Place is literally a stone’s through away. Very clean and just what we needed for an overnight stop for 5 people. On site parking which is very good to have in popular Lavenham. Nice and warm for our arrival.
I would have no hesitation staying again or recommending the Rectory Manor hotel. It exceeded our expectations as a very friendly hotel with some lovely personal touches. The breakfast was excellent & very freshly prepared for us. Room and bed was really comfortable.
We loved this property and the village of Lavenham, the room was cozy and very clean, the food to die for ! I recomend you to eat here, and can’t thank enough y the hospitality of Dee, she and the rest of the staff were amaing.
The Swan Hotel is luxurious and classy as well as authentic and quaint.
Food choices were excellent in either the Gallery restaurant or the Brasserie
Fabulous rooms with everything you need.
Weaver's Spa was fantastic.
Location brilliant. Surrounding architecture unrivalled, England at it’s best! Size and comfort of room excellent, breakfast really good, not the usual, but a fusion of English and continental.staff helpful .
A lovely Tudor inn in maybe one of the most scenic towns in Southern England. The USAAF bar is equally fascinating . The breakfast was awesome, the staff very friendly.
