The room was excellent and had it own little outside area so perfect for the doggies. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant - reception, bar staff, restaurant. Good parking facilities at rear of hotel.
Set in a grand Grade I listed property once home to politicians and Lords, this hotel has 22 acres of rural parkland.

Lovely Georgian country house. The staff were friendly and in the main efficient and polite. They worked hard on a busy Valentine evening and we felt well looked after (But see below). Bed comfy and the restaurant food was very well presented and of a high quality. Drinks menu good and wine list reasonable and good overall.
Neighbouring Leeds Castle, the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel is built around a Georgian country house with 26 acres of private grounds.

Staff at reception were fantastic and very helpful, a great welcome. It was great to get into the pool which was a very pleasant temperature. Even though there was a wedding going on, the noise was not a problem in the rooms. Breakfast was great. There was enough and it was tasty, especially the mushrooms and hash browns which were cooked to perfection. Checkout was simple. We had a great time and will be back if we are in the area again. Thank you

We loved the location in the middle of the countryside with beautiful walks from the doorstep (the bespoke map with circular walks of various levels from the inn was a lovely touch). The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully decorated with everything you could need. The food was exceptional (and we live in London) - much more than you would expect for a typical pub!
This friendly hotel with spacious accommodation rests in a peaceful country location just 10 minutes’ drive from Ashford Eurostar Rail Station.

The staff were friendly, they provided a breakfast bag for me when I had to leave before breakfast opening time. The room was clean and had everything we needed.
The Dog & Bear was very comfortable. Great to have a bath with really hot water after a hard day walking the Pilgrims Way. Food was just what we needed, well cooked, filling and tasty. Staff were helpful friendly and interesting. Other places are available to eat. Many wonderful historic buildings in Lenham. Easy walk to the train station.

A lovely, very quaint village with friendly local people.
Next time I stay, I will hopefully take in a stroll, the weather wasn't great, for the short time we were there.
I can imagine during the Spring and Summer months, how beautiful the village square would be.

Incredible walks through fields just past the medieval church. I went to the local shop to buy some dog food and they let the dog in. I chatted to locals and visited some more of the shops all dog friendly. The village is beautiful and has a range of pubs and restaurants which I didn’t get chance to use. It was a really nice place to stay for a night. I would have like to have stayed longer. To top it off I heard a nightingale on my walk. I’ll definitely be back. I stayed in a dog friendly room at the Dog and Bear - lone female traveller with a small dog.

We went to Chapel Down vinery for a tour before staying at Lenham. The Dog and Bear was a little further than we expected down a lot of very scenic country roads but we had a very enjoyable stay for one night.

Lenham is a very pretty village with get friendly people who we met when walking our dog. We enjoyed eating In the evening either at The Dog and Bear Hotel or at the Square Fish Cafe opposite the hotel as they both had excellent food.

Sweet, quintessential English village.
Sweet, quintessential English village. The Bow Window coffee shop is first rate both food and staff. Under new management since beginning of February 2020.
Close to Leeds Castle and Chilston Park Hotel amongst beautiful countryside.
I am blown away by the service we received! We attended the Chilston Park Hotel for my wedding stay and the staff couldn't do more for us. We were upgraded free complimentary which was so generous and then also offered late check out and breakfast was served to us later as we slept in due to a late night on our wedding night which again was a lovely gesture.
The whole hotel is stunning! The Marble Hall, chandeliers, staircase, paintings and Dogs of Fo! Everywhere had something amazing to look at! The room we stayed in was huge and had everything we needed and more. The bed was ultimate luxury, as was breakfast in our room. We can't fault the hotel, staff or location.
Hotel was ina lovely location. The English breakfast was good and hearty. Asked for a sausage for our dog and they were happy to accommodate. The staff were very welcoming too, one young man got us a remote for the tv, as it wasn't in the room.
We had an enjoyable 3-night stay at this property. Great food, lovely rural location and very pleasant helpful staff. Lenham is a cute village. Other pretty villages are not too far away by car. Leeds Castle is worth a visit.
Breakfast was excellent with a good, flexible choice. Hotel was easy to find in centre of pretty town. Car parking was very good in large private car park. We had our dog and she was made welcome by everyone.
The room was clean, well-appointed, and very good value for the money. Lenham is a charming and picturesque village, and the hotel's location on the village square was ideal for my walking trip.
This is a hotel of two halves. The front is a nice old coaching inn. Pleasant bar and dining room. Very good staff serving nice local beers and good-value pub food.
This was our second stay at this hotel.
Once again, we were made very welcome by the staff at this beautiful venue, where nothing is too much for them to do for you.
This was a nice hotel to stay at. Everything was wonderful. Breakfast was good with lots of food. In the front of the hotel is a bar and also a restaurant.
