The room was great with the most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept in. The hosts were wonderful and could do enough to help us. The facilities were great, with the basics of tea and coffee but also specialist teas and coffees as well, and biscuits. Breakfast was made to order and was perfect.
I can not speak any more highly enough of them, it was a perfect stay and I recommend people to go and stay there.

Old and beautifully done. Amazing decor and spotlessly clean.

Hotel is historic and full of charm. Food is varied and delicious. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner twice each. Comfortable beds, rooms had robes and spa toiletries. Spa was lovely.

Beautiful old building with oodles of character. Breakfast very good with lovely staff. Lady on reception when we checked out was a sweetheart. Room was good for price we paid. Location gorgeous even tho it was awful weather. Would deffo stay again if pillows changed!
Welcome to our 15th Century inn where our modern twist on the traditional creates a wonderful setting to enjoy our food, sample our local ales, explore our wine list and rest a weary head.

Gorgeous location in a quiet Suffolk Village. The building was beautiful and ideally decorated. We didn't use the restaurant but the menu looked good (we were meeting friends elsewhere). Bar was well stocked and staff very helpful. We upgraded and had a beautiful and large room. Bathroom was a little less decadent than the rest of the hotel but clean enough. We used our own toiletries but good to see environmental impact was thought about. TV was odd and difficult to use - usual channels didn't seem available and if we tried Netflix or any of the other apps, none of them worked, so we turned it off and just had music playing on our phones. Comfy bed, and tea/coffee available, so all good. We loved it.
*worth mentioning that had we paid full price I would have felt it a little expensive, but I had a Booking.com credit and so actually it felt like a bargain.

I only stayed two nights for a family funeral in the locality. The area is lovely with lots of interesting places to visit. Historic Bury St Edmunds under 30 minutes drive away, well worth a visit. Beer festival being set up in the Cathedral! Lavenham on the doorstep which is chocolate-box and picture-postcardesque.

Homely, no pretenses, old world almost "biggie best" retro style accommodation, which we welcomed. Lots of warm water, towels and linen crisp and clean. We did miss having a shower as sadly, most older folk battle with baths. Our host was welcoming and warm, accommodating, made us lovely breakfasts and most informative. A very quiet working farm homestead stopover set amongst beautiful grounds, and highly recommended if you like this appeal - we did.
