This was our second time to this hotel - which should tell you that we liked it the first time. We had one of their feature rooms, which was large and well furnished with soft chairs and a four-poster bed. We had an evening meal and breakfast, both of which were very nice. A wide selection of options for breakfast. There is a small garden at the front and very large one at the rear with lots of chairs.

We stayed on two different nights in different rooms. In both the decor was tasteful and the beds were comfortable. We were not visiting Monmouth but passing through so location was not important but we enjoyed being able to have a look at the town.

Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. The room and facilities at Torlands are extremely comfortable in every way and nothing was lacking. The property is in a very quiet & peaceful location with parking available on site and spectacular views from the veranda. Our breakfast was tasty, well cooked and substantial. Lovely property with real character. Nice rooms, comfortable and cosy. Really nice sitting rooms and dining rooms where you can bring your own food. Plus a lovely cafe just across the road. The best is how lovely and friendly the owners are. Lisa and David were so accommodating despite a last minute change in our part. I hope to go back again.
