Mel was a lovely host and gave us a warm welcome. Traveling with friends, so I was able to see both large guest rooms, they were lovely with nice bathrooms. We were able to use a table downstairs in the evening to play cards games. Breakfast was the best. We were each able to choose from a long list of items.
Yogurt, fresh berries, toast with jam, coffee and tea and delicious hot breakfast. A British brekky, or the eggs Benedict (I ordered these both mornings)nice healthy omelettes, my husband had the haddock, excellent he said. Great way to start the day! After being in London and Oxford the peace and quiet was wonderful. My friend was re-visiting her school after 44 years only 3 minutes away Ca

The cottage, although small, easily accommodated three of us - couple and teenage daughter - and had everything we needed for our stay including what we needed to cook a meal in the evening. The location is perfect if you want to be away from the busier tourist areas but within easy driving distance.
