Lovely old building, lots of character just needs TLC.
The lobby smelt lovely and the bed sheets were pristine.
Rooms a great size
Handy stopover location for a long journey. We were not in Lye long enough to explore the area, but it is very close to some lovely countryside, in the Clent Hills, and convenient for visiting Birmingham.
Given that I needed a hotel that was near to a railway station so that I could travel into Birmingham to attend a function, its location could not have been better. There a regular train services to and from Birmingham from from Lye, which is very reassuring. The room was in a small and cosy location, so not having en-suite was not an issue.
If you like to drink beer, then this is the place to be, as you are staying in a pub which also a brewery.
The breakfast was very delicious everything hot and cooked to order. The landlady remembered the little things that make your stay a personalised experience and was very accommodating.
Location was fantastic - a stone’s throw away from the station and very easy to find. Restaurant and takeaways en route to hotel but the restaurant itself is very nice with an outdoor seating area.
Location of hotel was ideal for the near registry office and golf club where we were attending a wedding. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Pub was clean and decorated nicely. Room was great, easily accessible and the bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast included which was beautiful. Thankyou !
Ideal for a budget short stay. Close to Lye station with links to most of the West Midlands. Room well looked after and everything worked. Pub downstairs punches above its weight food-wise and other eating options are a short stroll away.
Absolutely love this place , the staff are so friendly ,food is great , rooms are great and comfortable, the fact I'd not been since February and the staff remembered me was very warming , great pub and hotel
