Breakfast was 1st class
Room was very nice, and an upgrade from the original one, which looked out onto the road, so bonus points for that.

Everything about our stay to celebrate a milestone birthday was wonderful! The hotel and grounds are beautiful, breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a wide choice of options. Staff are friendly and professional and a special thank you to Dave, the Head Gardener, who took time out to chat to us about the garden, the ancient hill fort and the best views across the Thames.

Incredibly loud! All rooms are directly above the pub/bar, there was a function on a Wednesday night that went til 11pm, I could hear everything like I was in the room. I had 2 desk fans going but wish I’d brought earplugs.

Marlow is a great town with interesting shops and a great selection of places to eat. As it is on the Thames there are lovely walks along the river and even a place to rent small boats by the hour. We especially enjoyed The Ivy and the delicatessen/coffee shop. The Two Brewers pub had a great atmosphere and good food.

Picturesque town on banks of river Thames.
Picturesque town on banks of river Thames. Pretty high street. Lots of choice for shopping and cafes/restaurants. Lovely walks in several directions and along with many eateries being dog friendly, it makes for a great place to bring your dog. The only down side was the large number of huge cars which made the drive over the bridge a bit slow due to these cars having issues getting through the width restrictions.

Lovely little waterside town with loads and loads of different places to eat & drink.
Lots of parking and some beautiful riverside walks to help build an appetite or walk off food.
We ate at the The Hand & Flowers and it was well worth the trip. Yes it is pricey to eat there, but we went for the fixed menu lunch which was amazing. Highly recommended for that special occasion.
It was our first visit and we will be back.

Marlow is a lovely town close to the river. It has a good balance of high street retailers and small independent stores. Lots of pubs and restaurants to choose from. Would recommend spending a weekend there.

Marlow is a beautiful town, and would always recommend a visit at least once, in a lifetime. We have been visiting the Compleat Angler for 12 years, and overall recommend a stay. There is a possibility that if you return, your next stay may not be the same as the last.

Beautiful town on the banks of the Thames.
Beautiful town on the banks of the Thames. Lovely mix of town centre shops, pubs and eateries. Also comes with a large park area with pleasant walks along the river. Close to the M4 and M40 but you feel no where near the commuter highways
The bar area was a little dark and was set back from the view of the river. If the bar actually over looked the river ( star attraction ) then this would boost business and bring in a lot more trade. Not sure whether the two restaurant system works. The Indian restaurant detracts from the hotel restaurant.
Nice bedroom but a noisy fan sound all night spoilt our sleep. The noise appeared to come from outside the room. We turned off our fan?
Good meal quality in main restaurant and breakfast as well.
Lovely setting and good parking.
We were received by Tina on our arrival. Our first experience of a boutique hotel. Very slick! Room was cosy and clean. Good coffee & tea facilities, and snacks for the peckish. Even able to do catch-up on the TV! I liked the funky audio-visual key-code access. Crazy Fox e-mailed us several reminders of the code, so no excuse for getting it wrong! The included continental breakfast was perfect for us - Cereal, mixed fruit, proper fruit juice, yogurt, pastries, toast, spreads and hot drinks.
The location is between Beacons Field, Marlow and Henley. In the middle of nowhere and many small villages with Historical value. It's strange to get so high about a sports complex, but this place is special with its links to the Olympics and professional bodies.
The accommodation was excellent as was the breakfast. A really good atmosphere, which we will visit again and use the facilities next time.
Great location in a stunning area by the locks on the river (but the weather being amazing, helped!) The hotel had character to spare and in beautiful well maintained gardens. Superb breakfast finished off with coffee in the garden area. The room was perfectly comfortable albeit the furnishings could do with updating to give it a top score..
Seems a popular wedding venue for very good reason!
Not stayed here before, but was looking for a decent value hotel in the Marlow area for a couple of nights. Pleasantly surprised with the venue - although its primarily the national sports centre used by elite athletes, they have rooms available for general public too. Great value, and of course they have a really good gym! I'd definitely stay again when in the area.
Danesfield hous hotel was our family favourite place, we’ve been celebrating many special occasions in the hotel and had a large event for guests from all over the world.
The location and view are Stunning and it’s gardens Use to be glamorous.
Our last visit saddened us very much.
I left my ear pods behind and trying to get through to the hotel has been a nightmare but I managed to get through 3 times and each time they said I would get a call back and each time no call absolutely bad service I even asked for the manager to call me…
Perfect location for Marlow. A short walk to the town and similar to Marlow Locke . The staff were exceptional including the hosts. We will happily go back to the Prince of Wales and use it as a base for sightseeing in surrounding areas
This place is amazing itnrates as the best hotel I have ever stayed at and I have stayed at some of the most prestigious hotels in the world .....this rates up ther with the best
