Really cosy country pub in beautiful Derbyshire countryside. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and the room was spacious and very clean. Good choice of tasty pub food and exceptionally well kept real ale.
This house is perfect for a relaxed, private group event.

Melbourne is so full of history and character.
Melbourne is so full of history and character. I was there 3rd week in July, so still cottage garden flowers and fantastic colourful gardens, pots, hanging baskets on view in Melbourne. Was in 3 Cafès, 1 pub restaurant and Melbourne Hall's Gardens and cafè. All excellent with friendly staff. Nice independent shops there too. I thought the Melbourne Cobbler's shop was unique in that he sold a great selection of items in the small shop, he repaired all sorts of footwear, bags etc, he cut keys and he accepted parcel post for locals and stored parcel post from locals for collection by various couriers. . . All with a 😃smile.

A handsome and lovely town/village.
A handsome and lovely town/village. We went to a super wedding reception at The Spirit Vaults and dinner later at a pub on the outskirts of the vllage.
My advice would be to avoid staying and being ripped off at Harpurs and stay somewhere else.

Only visited briefly as attending Donington Historic Festival all weekend. Lovely quaint, historical, picturesque village with good amenities. Many food option, old pubs with great beer, a Halk and gardens. And all this within three minutes drive.
The room was spaciouse & extremely clean. The beds were just the comfiest I yave ever slept in, so much so I didn't want to get up. The hospitality tray was plentiful and great selection, no skimping on the milk. Rooms provide hairdryer, shower/hair gel and hand wash and fresh towels.
The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and is well kept and presented with a gorgeous display of flowers and hanging baskets...places to sit out in the garden if you want to. I.have booked to come again in a couple of weeks..
Beautiful apartment. Everything you need for a short stay. Kitchen may be a little small for more than a week, but would depend on how often you wanted to eat in. We knew on booking what was provided and it more than exceed our expectations.
Very comfortable. Good storage. Good shower.
Lovely grounds and views, easy access and parking.
Close to Melbourne. Not walkable as no footpath. Close to Donnington Park Farm hotel, where we were attending a wedding. Again not walkable.
A family get together so we booked three rooms. So lovely to see a thriving busy pub. Right in the centre of Melbourne. Plenty of parking on the road or opposite the church. Quieter the first night as during the week though obviously Friday night had more noise in the rooms from the pub downstairs. Great warm shower rooms with quality towels and toiletries. Very impressed with the oat milk sachets for the coffee/tea and generous stock of sachets for same.
The Coach House is a lovely B&B in the idyllic town of Melbourne. The rooms are large, comfortable with more storage than I have at home. The en-suite shower room was perfect and well serviced. All linens were beautifully presented and so soft. Whilst all of that is truly wonderful, Beverley’s cooked breakfast and other breakfast items are phenomenal. nice thick bacon, delicious sausage, a perfect fried egg. I’d go back just for the breakfast.
This property was amazing better than I expected as I haven’t ever been to Melbourne. It is such a perfect little place for a short break with beautiful local features and walks. The outhouse is a perfect size, with great facilities and located in a quiet and small area which made it feel safe and secure. The stay was comfy and enjoyable! We will definitely be back!
The apartment is spacious with good cooking facilities, lovely bathroom and a large extremely comfortable bed. The views from the apartment are great and it's only a 5 minute drive from the lively village of Melbourne which has some great places to eat and drink. We will be definitely staying again.
Lovely quiet location with a wonderful view, friendly family run hotel that were very helpful during my stay. Spacious room with comfy double bed and clean throughout with a useful mini kitchen and fridge.
This hotel was perfect for our visit, we were racing at Donington Park and the location of this hotel could not have been beter, when we return I will definatly try to book this hotel again.
Staying in room 8 which is situated just over the road from the main bar and restaurant was different, but the room was beautifully presented with a great bed and luxury furnishings.
Ease of gaining access to the hotel after it had closed (I had booked in earlier).
Good sized bedroom and en-suite.
Good blackout curtains
Full English Breakfast was delicious.
Second visit and will definitely keep coming to this lovely cottage.
Melbourne is a lovely town with good shops and plenty of good eating places.
Sarah is an excellent host.
Superbly decorated and fitted out Cottage ideal for short stays in the beautiful town of Melbourne. All requirements thought about. Loved the outdoor space.
