Not only was The Lion a wonderful location to explore the Cotswolds (and close to Stratford-upon-Avon) it was cute, quaint and so cozy. Mark (the owner) was incredibly nice and we loved our stay at his property. I can't say enough good things! He also helped us carry our luggage up the stairs. Rooms are small, but well decorated and comfortable. We had dinner at the pub and it was delicious!

On my arrival I had a lovely meal of fish cake. It was nice to have the room away from the pub and restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating on breakfast time.

Lizzie & Steve we’re the highlight! The bed was comfortable & the shower was great. Unfortunately, our trip was timed with a heat wave and with no real window it was hot in our room. They did provide a big fan for us which made it more comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious!

The property was easy to locate the hosts couldn't be more freindly or helpful the room was exceptionally clean I had everything I needed there it was a very freindly and relaxed environment the WiFi was free the bed was the most comfortable bed I think I've ever slept in if I needed anything I just had to ask the hosts couldn't do enough to help the fridge was stocked up with food and milk ect I was very happy with my stay there and I would like to hope that if I need a room in future I will look for this apartment and check availability before looking elsewhere

This stay was PERFECT! Great location, wonderful host, amazing room and delicious breakfast. The room had every possible consideration for travelers. What else is there to consider? Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely little village with large village store that stocks everything you need. There is also a post office. The peacock inn is the only pub and has a fish and chip van on Tuesdays. The barn next to the property does Friday burger night. The church is pretty but weds night is bell ringing practice till 9pm. Good base to see Cotswolds from.
