Burleigh Court Hotel, hotel in Minchinhampton

Set on the edge of a steep hillside overlooking the Golden Valley, Burleigh Court Hotel is a 18th-century Cotswold-stone manor house located in the heart of Royal Gloucestershire.

Our stay at the Burleigh Court Hotel exceeded the (already high) expectations we had for our trip to the Cotswolds. The location is stunning, the staff was very friendly and helpfull with good suggestions for local activities and places to go to. The gardens and many places to sit are superb. We can highly recommend this hotel for your trip to the Cotswolds

The Close Hotel, hotel in Minchinhampton

Charming hotel and staff, atmospheric bar and extremely comfortable beds. It was treat for my friends 60th birthday and she loved everything about the hotel. Beautiful gardens and easy parking too. Wonderful breakfast. Could have done with breakfast finishing at say 9.45/10 , 9.30 meant we had to move swiftly after a night out!

The young girls we dealt with were very polite and helpful. There was a lovely new bathroom Bed was very comfortable, which is important

We absolutely love Minchinhampton especially the common It's a great place to be out in the open with fantastic views. There are so many walks in the area and amazing places to eat. Our favourite time of year is when the cattle are out - so much fun for children. A car is a must have to make the most of this area

I love that it’s a small quiet town . The view of the woods from our cottage’s was absolutely beautiful especially in the evening. It’s a small old , lovely town and everyone was really friendly. Heard the pubs are great, but I am not into that type of thing. We stayed in our cottage mostly, did not experience the town much . Getting around can be a bit difficult if you do not have a car .

We go to Nailsworth about every 3 months to visit our elderly relative. We absolutely love the area. We have stayed in most of the hotels within a 5 mile radius. For us we find the Ragged Cot suits us particularly well as it’s on our way back home. We have not explored very much as we spend most of our time visiting. There is a very nice fish and chip shop in Nailsworth. Nailsworth is a super town ,it even has an oldie worldie. We think you will love it we do.

Minchinhampton is a very quaint village.

Minchinhampton is a very quaint village. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. There was a sign saying ‘cows in road’ and I would have been thrilled if we had seen some! We walked through the common where there were horses roaming freely. I live in a town so visiting this village was a lovely change - I will definitely be visiting again. Staying at the Ragged Cot was the icing on the cake! A hidden gem.
