Nice and clean room with enough space. The staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was good too. We were at a concert at World Resorts Arena and stayed one night at the hotel. The location was not bad if you don't mind a 15-20min walk to the arena.

The property was cheap and in a location close to the o2 institute, we could get a bus right outside the hotel into centre and also after the institute also a bus right outside back to hotel so saved a lot on taxis and also time as bus was every 7 mins!!!! Amazing
Free car parking a plus

Location is relatively practical for getting into the city centre and within walking distance of Aston Hall and Villa Park. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

The staff was rude at check in, there was no signage to say where we needed to check in, the room was unclean and hadn't been clean the floor and bedding was dirty. The mattress was like sleeping on concrete, I booked a twin room and we got a double so they can't even read simple requirements on a booking or reservation. There was mould around the window, on the window sill, on the ceiling of the bathroom, all over the shower tiles & around the shower drain. The shower door didn't close properly to keep it shut you had to hold otherwise it would bounce back open. The water fluctuated between freezing cold and scolding hot. There was a used soap still in the shower from whoever used it last, we was told the bar would shut at midnight, it stayed open until later than that, also when we went to discuss our issues with a member of management the next morning as we had no choice but to stay there as our 3 hour journey turned into 6 hours due to traffic. There was no one to be found, I have tried calling to express my concerns and there has been no answer, I have also written to them via the booking.com app and I still haven't had an answer. I believe they choose to ignore myself and booking.com so they don't have to refund the money that was paid.
In the morning my friend and I had to strip the bed as we both thought we could feel something crawling over us during the night, so in the morning we checked for bed bugs. My personal opinion, even though not everyone may agree but I do not think this should be a listing on booking.com. I also do not think they should be 3 star facility.

Staff were friendly.
Staff were friendly.
The lighting in the room was horrific and applying even eyeliner was a challenge with such. The beds were extremely uncomfortable none of us could actually sleep. The tea/coffee was very basic and there was no bottled water. The stench of sewage outside the building and in our bathrooms was very unwelcoming. There's no lift and I had to take 2 children and our suitcases up 2 flights of stairs to the family room.

This so called hotel is not a hotel but seemed like a working mens club with tacky rooms attached (possibly used for brothel purposes). The reception was the bar area. To get to the rooms you had to walk through a bar full of people in the bar and then through the pool room. The room itself was tiny, stank of smoke, was very basically decorated, the heater didn't work, no tea making facilities, just a dreadful room. The first thing I did was make a booking with another hotel and luckily got one despite it being Crufts. I left soon after arriving. That hotel was familiar with the reputation of the Minworth Lodge as offering dreadful accommodation. I paid good money for that room and the website is completely inaccurate - fraudulent even. Do not stay there!

Minworth Lodge is not HOTEL it is more like a working mens club. It was awful. We did not venture into Minworth itself as we were going to the NEC We should have stayed two nights but left after the first. We did not feel safe in the place as someone was trying to get into out room in the middle of the night. Could not speak to the owner as they did not answer their phone or reply to our messages

I visited the area to take my wife to a work event nearby, so this was just an overnight stay, cheap and cheerful / good value.
The on site Breakfast was very good, although had to wait for the staff to come on duty to make it, so no early breakfast possible.

There is nothing to like at Macpherson lodge.
There is nothing to like at Macpherson lodge. The place is overally in dire need of repair to meet at least a good standard. The toilet foot is broken and moves about when you are busy sitting on it. The garden is covered in black sheet of plastic. The owner advertises the place as : good breakfast is included in this room rate and he doesn’t provide the breakfast, that’s pure dishonesty.
