Right in the heart of Barnard Castle. The food was excellent, probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Rooms and public spaces had quality furnishings and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

We had a Lovely stay for a wedding at a near by location, the staff were so helpful even before we arrived. Rooms were great, we had two as we were with a Family member. The breakfast in the morning was perfect and clean a good representation of the stay in general. John and James were so accommodating even for my partners dietary requirements! We were a family of 5 and booked the Piggery 1 bed cottage and The Stables 2 bed cottage, both dog friendly. The most beautiful cottages we have stayed in, renovated to a very high standard. Had everything we could possibly need. Warm and cosy and the most comfortable beds. Thank you Lauren for a fabulous stay, we will be back.
