Nice location right on the square in the village of Tarves. Very comfortable beds, plenty of towels and toiletries. Clean, bright & quiet. The staff were wonderfully helpful with some last minute wardrobe issues we had. Generous breakfast served until 10, which was a treat!

Beautiful old home lovingly and ecceltically decorated with many antiques and a rich history. The owners are delightful and went above and beyond with their attention to detail. The breakfast was outstanding...so many choices!

First class service from all of the staff. Our room was perfect and spacious. Our evening meal was fantastic as was the breakfast. A total relaxed break for both of us. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thoroughly recommend a stay at Old Meldrum House.

We had a lovely family get together. We were made really welcome. The food pack that with us. Was a nice welcome surprise. The apartment was just right for us lovely view over the village. The restaurant being right next to the apartment was very good but no noise at all. Truly lovely. Leak family.

Tricky to find in the dark until you happen upon the arch - ie no signs to it in the village or on the road from New Machar.
We were staying with my son in Newmachar, so we didn't go anywhere else. We'll be back in the summer, so ask me all of this again & I'll tell you, but I suspect that if you weren't into golf, the hotel would seem a bit biased towards golf. So a tennis or bowling green, something to do if its raining e.g. a dart board & a pool table - otherwise its all a bit too hushed tones & posh, but there's not enough buzz when you go into the bar? Oh, and the wifi in the stables need a repeater to make it fast enough to stream. If the TV in the room had had iPlayer ie was a smart TV, we could have watched Tina Turner on it rather than on my phone with buffering!...but these a trivial details. If this hotel was in Edinburgh or Glasgow it would kick every other hotel's butt!

The hotels position in the golf course was fantastic, view from our room were great! Unfortunately covid spoilt the ambiance of what was a pleasurable short break. The evening meal of beef was excellent not as sure of the other food, it was a hit or miss according to your taste. The Australian barossa red wine was very good but that's my taste! An all round good hotel for a short break.

it is a nice hotel - reception staff are very pleasant.
it is a nice hotel - reception staff are very pleasant. Corona arrangements take a little off the experience
However we found the service at breakfast very poor with orders taking far too long. Service staff forgetting orders or making promises to return with tea and such and not doing so at all
No marmalade available for three days -other random shortages - for which there seemed no reason
My room-quite a nice suite with a lovely big bathroom - however spoilt by giant green exit sign which bathed the whole room green at night - who wants to sleep as if in an elevator?
We stayed in Oldmeldrum as over for a wedding and this was the closest accommodation. The village is lovely and everyone was so friendly. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed plus Laura had left us milk, butter, jam, tea, coffee, cereal and a loaf of bread which we really appreciated. The pub is virtually next door, friendly landlord (Laura's Husband) and staff. The food was very good too. If we're ever over that way in the future, we would definitely stay there again as couldn't fault it.
Impressive country house hotel surrounded by a golf course. We were allocated a large modern room in the new annex. Lots of space, nicely furnished, comfortable bed, excellent shower. The large picture window was nice, but unfortunately it overlooked the bins and a noisy power generator - we got the room for a good price (£169 including breakfast for two) - I suspect we were allocated a room that reflected this. Staff were friendly. Good breakfast.
Perfect location in the heart of the town of Oldmeldrum. Great facilities within 100 metres of the home. Home done out to a nice modern standard and handed over in a very clean condition. The property comes with decent internet so general internet use such a streaming etc works well. Great to have a working fireplace as we used it every evening. Kindling and log/coal can be sourced at various locations in the town.
Very friendly and a warm welcome help with our luggage and very informative about our room. All you ever need from a room modern well decorated and very clean we had a balcony the hotel seemed very busy but still had time to help us order a taxi ect breakfast was continental and very high quality, one of us is vegan and got some things in to make my breakfast nice definitely stay again
We don't say this lightly, we've stayed in lovely hotels all over the place, however this one is the best one we have ever had the pleasure of staying in.
The building, the bar area, the surroundings, the bedroom, all as good as it gets.
Well done the staff (all whom were extremely pleasant) don't change anything!
Looking forward to staying again.
Claire ‘s Townhouse in Oldmeldrum was absolutely gorgeous, very stylish, extremely clean and having a real open coal fire made it so warm and relaxing. Definitely Five Star and truly professional Hosts and very helpful and genuine and the little touches that Claire left was very much appreciated.
A fantastic apartment! Spotlessly clean, right in the heart of Oldmeldrum and close to Meldrum House for events. Loved the fact there was milk, bread and butter provided. Pub next door is great, staff very friendly and the beer garden is superb!
Redgarth is an exceptional local hotel and restaurant in Aberdeenshire. The room was lovely with a great view, the staff and host were superb and the food excellent. Also, a great location for seeing the great sites in the area.
