The location was good for us as we were visiting a friend in the area. We particularly liked the layout of the rooms surrounding the courtyard it was very tranquil. The staff were so obliging and made us very welcome. We ate in the pub and enjoyed it very much. The parking was good also. On the whole we had a very enjoyable stay and will return again.

I booked and stayed at the Toy House for 5 days of work and it really was a great decision to do so. It was like being on holiday, amazingly comfortable with great facilities to enable me to cook and look after myself in way that a hotel, guest house or B&B would never match up to. I took with me my mountain bike as there are so many options for cycling through the various woodlands, forest parks and bridal ways directly from the accommodation. Its not in the town or city, but for me that made it all the better. It was private, quiet, calm, comfortable and restful. Perfect at these times. I was working close to the King's Mill General Hospital, just outside Mansfield and getting into work each day only took me 15 -20 mins. I cannot recommend it enough, so much so that we booked it two more times for myself and then another colleague.
