The property is perfectly located in a quiet area & a 2 minute walk from the beach. Breathtaking views from almost every window & from the perfectly manicured gardens. All rooms had a small kitchen area to allow you to bring some extras on your trip or to buy all those mouthwatering nibbles from the farm stalls in the area and enjoy it while you watch the evening set in from your private balcony. We had dinner the one evening at the restaurant and it was fantastic. The deep fried milk tart and honeycomb ice cream is a must for desert.

Beautiful hotel in an extremely beautiful part of the country. This deceivingly small hotel, which isn't that small one, you get up the steps from the main road is a hidden gem. The hotel manager Karen is a delight to deal with and converse with as are an array of staff, particularly Talin the chap who works the restaurant. Food is impeccable and can not be faulted, nor can its position within walking distance of everything.

Driving through and parking in Portscatho can be difficult...
Driving through and parking in Portscatho can be difficult even off season. The streets are narrow and parking is very limited. There is a free carpark in Gerrans (10 min up hill). It is a very touristy town but still retains a lot of its old world charm. Lots of little, expensive shops, one pub, a few cafes and a convenience shop for necessities. The coast path runs right through Portscatho and there are some wonderful walks to be had. Also several beaches to be explored, usually at low tide only. Well worth a visit close by are St Mawes, Veryan, Melinsey Mill near Veryan, St Anthony Head and St Just in Roseland church, The Hut cafe is a short walk from Portscatho on the coast path.stodgysturleyUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

I loved the location of Portscatho surrounded by the beach with beautiful picturesque walks along the beach with the quaint cottages with manicure gardens to admire as you walked by. I was lost for word at the stunning awesome beauty of the landscape where Portscatho sits and can only imagine wanting to live in one of those idealic cottages. My friend and I walked down from our B&B to The Hidden Hut...
My friend and I walked down from our B&B to The Hidden Hut and the wonderful beach a short walk from the village of Portscatho. Beautiful scenery and views on a clear day for miles . Very friendly staff and great service in the local pubs and restaurants . We visited Tatams a tavern for pizzas 🍕 eat in or take away . We also had a lovely meal in The Plume of Feathers a great friendly pub , staff were lovely 😊 Beautiful walks for young and older people, swimming 🏊♀️ from a lovely sandy , dog friendly beach . Very good pub called the Plume and Feathers. Nice walks . Couple of very interesting art galleries and a craft centre. Good general shop for everything . Several nice walks start there and it is also a good base for exploring the whole Roseland .

The hotel is centred around the amazing view with comfortable garden furniture positioned to admire the view and dining tables looking through floor to ceiling picture windows to capture the view. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We booked for dinner and were impressed with both the presentation and quality of the meal. It’s rare to have our expectations exceeded, but this was our experience of The Rosevine Hotel - a wonderful surprise.

In a great location near to Portscatho, St Mawes and coastal footpath. The room was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen area very useful. The breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we had there. Staff were polite and accommodating. Very pleased that the hotel has rooms that are not available to those with dogs ! I suffer from asthma so it was a key consideration for my wife and I.

The garden is life enhancing. It has a warmth and embraces it’s guests. The beds are deliciously comfortable with the finest linen. The swimming pool is a great place to exercise in. Warm and loads of hot water to shower with afterwards …fluffy towels to dry off with.
