Old building as can be told from the name.
Old building as can be told from the name. Landlady was very pleasant and forgiving of the time of night I arrived. Stairs are steep. accommodation is very good for cost. Bed was lovely and warm and I slept like a brick. Recommend it in a really beautiful area of Salop.

This town is tucked away well into the Shropshire...
This town is tucked away well into the Shropshire Countryside. Blink and you will miss it. But if you do find it, a visit to the church is a must. The Talbot Inn serves good beer (Joules) and the Governor and his wife are friendly. It has a small menu which perhaps could be extended to give diners a wider choice. There is also a cafe in the town which is supposed to open at 9.00 but during the three days we were there it was closed when we tried at 9.45. Shrewsbury and Oswestry are easily accessible.
