Knights Court, hotel in Scratby

Knights Court is a seafront hotel, overlooking the Norfolk Coastline and Venetian gardens. The cozy rooms have private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and some have sea views, balconies and patios.

Busy little b&b, and I can see why. The staff are very attentive and chatty which I like. Ample parking and a bar with lounge for those that just want to chill in the evening.. For me I will be using this place again.

As I had booked the room for a birthday surprise they organised some flowers for the room after I had sent them an email to see if it was something they where able to do. Then when we arrived they had decorated the room with balloons as well as an added bonus.

We went out of season so there wasn't anything open.

We went out of season so there wasn't anything open. We expected that. But to find out there wasn't even a local shop, chippy or pub we was very disappointed. The caravan and Bebe rays was the best part about it.

The beach at Scratby is beautiful - miles of sand and tidal.

The beach at Scratby is beautiful - miles of sand and tidal. It’s a bit of effort to get down to it tho - as Scratby sits above sea level so it’s a winding cliff path. The property is about a mile from the sea but close to local shops.

It's in the middle of everything. Easy to plan things.

It's in the middle of everything. Easy to plan things. Everything is close by. Not more than 30-40 mins away. We thought it was perfect to stay there as you can venture either way to find things to do. We would have liked to stay bit longer.

The Norfolk Coastal Path passes Scratby.

The Norfolk Coastal Path passes Scratby. The beaches are wide, sandy/ gritty, and clean. This area has suffered cliff falls, and the houses are nearer to the cliff edge than they were just a few years ago. This means the path has disappeared in parts and there are safety issues. However, dangerous parts of the cliff are clearly marked and there is plenty of safe space on the beach. There is the village centre, then there are the miles of static caravan/ holiday parks, which was fairly horrid when I tried a circular walk - a bit like getting lost in a maze of plastic decking. But some folk like this sort of thing and if you're staying in one of them, the beach and the pub won't be far away.
