If you can stay anywhere else for three nights at 105 pounds and still get a good night's sleep, a clean and relatively quiet room, let me know. This is good value for those of us who don't wish to pay three times as much just to get 'muzak in the lift, an £18 breakfast, thick towels, and the feeling of having had 'an hotel experience". The host Vince was very forthcoming in a natural way and advised a nearby Italian restaurant which was also value for money. It is very conveniently located just 2 mins walk from a metro station with 1/4 hourly trains to city centre which takes a mere 30 minutes.
With so many hotels now in a boring chain, long may places like this remain.

Seaton Delaval is ok. Easy to reach other areas, i.e. Whitley Bay, Tynemouth. The owner of the terraced house seems to think the cleanliness was adequate. Perhaps the owner's cleaners are short-sighted, as the thick dust on the lamps in the living room, dirty bathmat, hook falling off the back of the bathroom door and unclean kitchen sink with scruffy, barely bristled dish washing brush, plus unwashed pans, are a figment of my imagination! I have been renting cottages in various parts of the country for many years, and this one was one of the worst. Sorry, but true. He should tell his cleaners to go to Specsavers before the reputation of his cottage is ruined.
