Quiet location with guest parking. Room was perfect for one night stay. Nice decor and very clean. Bed was comfortable and the rain shower in the bathroom was a real treat.

Very reasonable price for a decent room close to Prospect parkrun! The host was very attentive.

Lovely location, very close to the tow path next to the Thames and great for walking our dog without having to navigate the busy narrow roads at Sonning.
We dined there in the evening, limited range for vegetarians but helpful staff who gained advise from the Kitchen on dairy free options. Book a table ahead of your stay especially at the weekend.
Our breakfast was very good, cut above the usual offering of a fry up 😉 but offered that to!
Be accepting that this is a very popular busy pub so the noise that travels up into the rooms might not suit everyone, however, it will quieten down after the pub closes and the hardworking staff head on home 😊

Not the best time to describe the area, as it was dark and stormy, but it looked quaint and probably really attractive in better weather conditions. It's a surprisingly quiet village, so near to the conurbation of Reading.
