The beautiful lakeside / marina setting of this hotel aside a tributary leading to Lake Windermere is wonderful and makes for a scenic walk to South lakeside 1 mile away.
The hotel is artfully decorated throughout with stunning and colourful designs.
Facilities wise the hotel has everything from indoor/outdoor spa complex, indoor pool, gym, pool room, snugs and loungers, bar and restaurant.
The staff from arrival to departure could not do enough - even moving my spa booking to later when I found myself stranded up a mountain 20 miles North.
The rooms are delightfully appointed with lovely touches like a coffee machine with locally produced coffee, locally produced toiletries. The beds are like sleeping on clouds.
Food was excellent at breakfast and dinner.
This was my second visit - I will be back later in the year!

Homely lodge with lovely outdoor area. Great value for money. Would definitely return.
Spark Bridge is a lovely, quiet place. It has a river running through the Hamlet and woodland. Perfect for a good night's sleep. We ate at The Royal Oak pub every night we were there because the food was excellent and the staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff are a credit to the owners. They are exceptionally dog friendly. We will definitely return. Easy access to all areas of The Lake District. We have stayed many times in The Lakes and consider The Royal Oak to be the best.

It is in a very quiet and secluded location.
It is in a very quiet and secluded location. However the saniflow system in the room is like someone is using an electric drill. And you can hear everyone else's saniflow systems go off in the night.
The room was like a sauna. And the shower had two settings. Lava hot or Ice cold. I kid you not.
It took us forever to check in. At breakfast, no-one was there. When I chased up the lady in the kitchen - rather than just apologise, she chose to pick an argument with me about when she was last down to check the breakfast area.
However, the breakfast was rather tasty.
