Hotel is historic and full of charm. Food is varied and delicious. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner twice each. Comfortable beds, rooms had robes and spa toiletries. Spa was lovely.
The Abbey Hotel & Apartments is consisted of of a Tudor house built around 1530 and a medieval merchant’s house built around 1350.

After a bit of meandering (on foot) to find the place, I was pleasantly surprised. It is an old building (Tudor?) but the room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the cotton linens soft, there were even robe and slippers in the room. The breakfast was good, the lady who greeted me and served breakfast was friendly and welcoming. Overall it was a great one night stay.

Booking in was very easy, Young man was very helpful, Room was better than I was hoping for, being disabled I was unsure about how easy it would be for me to get round the hotel and bedroom, It could not have been easier, Bed was very comfortable. Beautiful old building with oodles of character. Breakfast very good with lovely staff. Lady on reception when we checked out was a sweetheart. Room was good for price we paid. Location gorgeous even tho it was awful weather. Would deffo stay again if pillows changed!
