Kings Arms Annex, hotel in Steventon

Offering garden views, Kings Arms Annex is an accommodation set in Steventon, 25 km from University of Oxford and 30 km from Newbury Racecourse.

Everything was great. Having milk/bread etc. in the fridge on arrival is a really nice touch. The kitchen being fully equipped is also a huge bonus. My impression is that the owners really do care and want you to enjoy your time spent there.

Easy location, just off of the A34. Very clean, lovely staff! So welcoming and accommodating! Also a gym on site, it is small but enough for what is needed. We had breakfast at the hotel, it hit the right spot, fruit, yogurts and the usual cooked breakfast and toast available.

Lots of lovely walks, lots of history, buses to Oxford,...

Lots of lovely walks, lots of history, buses to Oxford, Didcot, trains to Bath etc. We mainly ate at "The Cherry Tree" where we stayed, but we also tried "Mira Spice" the local Indian just down the road from The Cherry Tree and had an excellent meal. We also tried the pub next door "The Fox" and had the most wonderful macaroni cheese, Cherry Tree had a pub quiz on the Monday evening which we entered not expecting to do very well, but with half the pub helping we didn't do too badly. The main reason for us going to Steventon was to go to steam train museums, one in Swindon, one in Didcote and one in Pendon, other than that we did a lot of walking discovering the local area.
