Stourbridge, I suspect has gone the way of many market towns - huge shopping centre nearby in Merry Hill has meant a lot of small, niche shops have just given up. Great place to explore the Black Country from!

Attractions worth visiting which can be reached by bus or car are Black country Living Museum, Kinver Rock Houses, the Glass Museum and the Clent Hills. Some websites also list attractions in Birmingham, but for them you are better off staying in Birmingham.

I can only be honest & say this was the most surreal hotel visit & worst hotel experience of my life so far. I don’t wish to be mean or excessively critical but the only positive I can say is that the bed was comfortable & clean & the room was clean & spacious in the end once I could finally access it at 12:30am, 10 hours plus after check in opened.

I was brought up in Stourbridge and know it well ,even though I have lived away for over 20 years it was nice to return ,as expected lots have changed for the better and some things have gone downhill like most town centres.

I was just traveling through as I had arrived late into Birmingham airport and was looking for a place to sleep before being picked up by a friend in the morning and the airport hotels were very expensive. There isn’t much to see in Stourbridge really. Nice town but not a tourist destination

The welcome we received was one of the warmest we have ever had in any hotel stay. The rooms were spotless, comfy and with lovely touches such as a coffee machine. The breakfast was exceptional. Quality of the food was excellent. Great location for concerts in Birmingham and access to the motorway. Lots of interesting history about the pub. Hope lots of other people take advantage of staying and are equally impressed by the level of customer service and quirky but fab location.

Great Black Country pub with superb traditional decoration. Bedrooms traditionally simple furnishing (cast iron fireplace!) with superb large double bed and ultra modern bathroom. Tastefully finished with masses of tea and coffee and complimentary spring water (2). I have stayed in four star hotels throughout Europe and liked this place more. Friendly staff and attention to detail make all the difference. Recommend this place to the queen if she ever went to Stourbridge!!

We struggle to find somewhere nice to stay when we come to visit family in Stourbridge but this property ticked all the boxes. It is clean, cosy and so comfortable . Lots of little extras that make it feel like home including a very much appreciated welcome pack. Perfectly situated for us visiting extended family around the West Midlands and Shropshire with plenty of secure parking. We will certainly be looking out for availability when we next visit.

A beautifully restored and maintained pub hotel hosted by exceptionally friendly and helpful staff offering great value meals in a choice of comfortable and spacious rooms. The bedrooms also are spacious and named. Mine was Holders Brewery and featured appropriate historical photographs on the walls. The bar offers 13 cask ales on an impressively long row of hand pumps. The hotel is very close to the railway station

Lovely spacious apartment, well appointed and equipped, super comfy bed, lovely crockery, enough cutlery, well heated and with its own private gated parking . The location within a few minutes walk of Stourbridge junction suited me very well for the half hour train trip into central Birmingham for the day. Shops, park and petrol all very close by. A super luxurious stay.

Hotel was very attractive, lovely old beams and we had two rooms both which were really nice. Bed was very high off the floor which was fine for us but may not have been for some people. Breakfast options were great and very nice. The smokehouse was fantastic with enormous portions. Staff were very nice too.
