This 3-star hotel’s attractive original structure dates back to the 1630s. Inside, the hotel offers comfortable accommodations with beautiful original features and period charm.

Attractions worth visiting which can be reached by bus or car are Black country Living Museum, Kinver Rock Houses, the Glass Museum and the Clent Hills. Some websites also list attractions in Birmingham, but for them you are better off staying in Birmingham.

I can only be honest & say this was the most surreal hotel visit & worst hotel experience of my life so far. I don’t wish to be mean or excessively critical but the only positive I can say is that the bed was comfortable & clean & the room was clean & spacious in the end once I could finally access it at 12:30am, 10 hours plus after check in opened.

I was just traveling through as I had arrived late into Birmingham airport and was looking for a place to sleep before being picked up by a friend in the morning and the airport hotels were very expensive.
There isn’t much to see in Stourbridge really. Nice town but not a tourist destination

I like the character and quirkiness of Stourbridge high street. It’s a short street easy to walk but it makes it easy to get things from the local shops if you need to when staying at the Talbot.
I also like the layout of the whole town and the rail and bus stations.
The welcome we received was one of the warmest we have ever had in any hotel stay. The rooms were spotless, comfy and with lovely touches such as a coffee machine.
The breakfast was exceptional. Quality of the food was excellent. Great location for concerts in Birmingham and access to the motorway. Lots of interesting history about the pub. Hope lots of other people take advantage of staying and are equally impressed by the level of customer service and quirky but fab location.
Lovely room with the surprise of a jacuzzii bath . Very comfortable bed and we slept well. Breakfast was not in the hotel but in an adjourning complex belonging to the hotel. A little awkward if the weather was bad. Breakfast was very good and we opted for a small Full English and could not have managed a larger. Very pleasant staff . Very disappointed to hear it was up for sale and might be modernised as it had all the charm that an old building should have.
We struggle to find somewhere nice to stay when we come to visit family in Stourbridge but this property ticked all the boxes. It is clean, cosy and so comfortable . Lots of little extras that make it feel like home including a very much appreciated welcome pack. Perfectly situated for us visiting extended family around the West Midlands and Shropshire with plenty of secure parking. We will certainly be looking out for availability when we next visit.
A beautifully restored and maintained pub hotel hosted by exceptionally friendly and helpful staff offering great value meals in a choice of comfortable and spacious rooms. The bedrooms also are spacious and named. Mine was Holders Brewery and featured appropriate historical photographs on the walls. The bar offers 13 cask ales on an impressively long row of hand pumps. The hotel is very close to the railway station
Lovely spacious apartment, well appointed and equipped, super comfy bed, lovely crockery, enough cutlery, well heated and with its own private gated parking . The location within a few minutes walk of Stourbridge junction suited me very well for the half hour train trip into central Birmingham for the day. Shops, park and petrol all very close by. A super luxurious stay.
The hotel is a wonderful example of old England preserved within a modern high street. The rooms are charming with old oak beams and everything is slightly off true vertical or horizontal, an indication of the organic nature of building practices from 500 years ago.
Lovely, comfortable, central hotel. The room was extremely comfortable and cosy and the bathroom was newly renovated & clean with a lovely big shower. The property has old world charm but the room was updated and very comfortable.
Staff were amazing, chatty and approachable, bar food was great and room was extremely comfortable. Would recommend 100% to anybody looking to stay in a lovely and picturesque area.
The hotel was beautiful, very historic, the staff were very friendly and helpful, my room was lovely , will definitely stay again but will ask for a different room next time
