The building itself is imposing, stately and elegant, many guests could be seen outside taking pictures of the hotel soon after arrival. We had a beautiful spacious room looking out over the gardens at the rear of the hotel. Simple but very elegant and very comfortable. The grounds outside were exceptionally photogenic at the time we were there at the beginning of May. The location is within 30mins of Southampton and 30mins from the New Forest so travel to both is very easy.

The room was clean and tidy. The tea making facilities were well stocked. I had an eveing meal with a friend and the food and service were good. I slept well and had breakfast in the morning which was very good .
