The rooms are located behind the main building and therefore shielded from any road noise and with an uninterrupted view across the estuary.
The dinner and breakfast were superb.
Service was personal and good.
Midway between Southwold and Aldeburgh, this modernised, rustic inn has an excellent restaurant and refurbished, stylish rooms. It is an ideal base for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

Staff were super-helpful and friendly, the room was really comfortable (quality tea, coffee and hot chocolate!) and dinner and breakfast were very tasty. And our pooch was made to feel so very welcome.

The Resturant was closed during my visit.
This was very clearly pointed out to me before travelling.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, we had breakfast twice and Dinner twice.
Very pretty buildings and two pubs serving good food.
Very pretty buildings and two pubs serving good food. A bit disconcerting not having any pavements to walk on especially after a night in one of the pubs and although not a majorly busy road enough traffic to make you aware of this ie wouldn’t have liked pushing a pushchair or being in a wheelchair/mobility scooter. Lovely rowboat ferry service to Southwold (real bonus) nice tea room and a good Co-Op opened generous hours.

lovely but stoney beach, very picturesque village, two pubs a cafe and beach shops, but limited facilities facilities and access, so Walberswick retains its charm. Foot-ferry across the river to Southwold harbour for fish and chips and estuary cruises, a twenty minute walk along a footpath to Southwold for shops and more full on tourist facilities.

Our favourite place was the footpath to Blythburgh along the old railway. It was good for birdwatching, overlooking a large reedbed which included a hide and the woodland and surrounding fields. There were very few proper footpaths around the area which if walking to village could be a problem and there are lots of restricted parking.

Charming, low key village.
Charming, low key village. Very friendly locals, lovely gift shop and tea room. We loved the nature reserve (saw seals and oystercatchers!) and the beach was fantastic. It’s easy to get around and there are lots of views - interesting buildings, especially the church and some unique flint graves.
It isn’t the cheapest place to visit, but there is an emphasis on quality and it’s well worth a trip.

Outstanding small villiage with at least two places to eat and also a well stcked CO-OP. Everyone we met were friendly and the long beach, with no noisy sea side shops and amusements was perfect for an unwinding, restful stay. For walkers, the dunes and areas of marsh are worth a visit, and the little ferry across to Southwold allows a change of pace, with the town far more commercialised. Although a villiage, Walberswick can get very full. Functions mean that resturants are not always available, so check in advance!

Beautiful village on the green with a short walk down to the water's edge. Getting across to Southwold is easy on the small rowing boat ferry, with the Sole Bay Fish company a two minute walk away.
The rooms are units within a converted farmhouse. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. It had twin beds, a sofa bed in the lounge. There was a kettle and microwave and a generous continental breakfast was supplied. There was a lovely garden complete with furniture to sit in. We used this as a base to visit walberswick and southwold.
Contactless check in was very easy with ample parking.
Would happily stay here again.
Location was superb, particularly for a large family such as ours - we commandeered four of the five units! Lovely and rural but moments from the sand duney beach of walberswick.
Rooms were clean and had all the equipment we needed for a self catering stay. Garden huge and the owners were happy for us to erect a paddling pool for the kids to play in as the weather was glorious. We can't fault the place!
Fab location. In the woods and short walk to the riverside. Walberswick Town is a few minutes drive and charming. Great pub the Anchor there.
Cottage is rustic and charming. Facilities limited. Lovely open wood fires.
Great value for a brief stay in the area. Room exceptionally clean. A quiet location with a nice walk into Walberswick (footpath a few metres away from the property avoids walking along the road).
This cottage is very special in a fabulous location which felt in the middle of nowhere yet in a good position close to Walberswick and Southwold. The hot tub is absolutely stunning .
The location suited our needs as did the accommodation. We liked being able to have our breakfast in our room as and when we wanted it. We also enjoyed the outside area.
