Peak District, The Greyhound Inn, Warslow circa 1750, hotel in Warslow

Peak District, The Greyhound Inn, Warslow circa 1750 enjoys a location in Warslow, 11 miles from Buxton Opera House and 13 miles from Alton Towers.

Lovely quiet location and easy to find. Dog friendly and they meant it rather than just saying it. Locals were in with dogs as well as overnight guests and it was a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere. To top it off the food and beer selection were exceptional and the staff were attentive and really lovely people.

Beautiful homestead setting that backs onto an active farm. The shared kitchen and dining was kept immaculate and faces a barn where you can hear the cows in the evening! Location is perfect for exploring The Peak District. Staff were all wonderful and helpful. Hot shower pressure was amazing and so welcome at the end of a day of walking/biking! Would 100% stay again. Wifi was weak at times, but was quite nice to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings.

Moorland View Farm B&B, hotel in Warslow

Located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, Moorland View Farm B&B features a garden, free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking.

18:09 I booked this hotel because me and my friend were going to Alton Towers and it was only a ten minute drive away so was perfect for us. After a fantastic but long day at Alton Towers we drove to the hotel. We received a warm welcome from Louise who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble Louise explained everything to us and showed us to our room which was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for a good night's sleep. I woke up to a beautiful view of cows in the field which was lovely to see first thing on a morning. We headed down for breakfast the next morning. Lots of continental breakfast tochoose from while Louise made the perfect full English breakfast. We had a lovely chat with Louise over breakfast before leaving for another day at Alton towers. I highly recommend this B and B and we will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Louise for making our stay lovely. Laura and Sean xx

We were visiting Buxton but it's cheaper to stay out side of Buxton. Warslow was a sweet little village with some interesting historical pieces preserved to make a short but fascinating wander round.

The convenient location to reach places of interest was good - it didn’t feel touristy, we felt like we were right in the heart of the countryside. The pub seemed to be the only place to eat in the evening- the food was good (they only do lunch on a Sunday).

Warslow is a small village in the Peak district.

Warslow is a small village in the Peak district. Very friendly people and the Greyhound is a good social meeting place. We ate there every evening. There are no other shops or places to eat in the village but Leek is only four miles away and there are other pubs short distances away. The church had a flower festival whilst we were there and we were made very welcome by the parishioners. Walking around the village is easy and the countryside is great. If in the area would certainly stay again at The Greyhound.
