The Red Lion, hotel in West Haddon

Located in Northampton, 12 miles from Kelmarsh Hall, The Red Lion provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

The coffee was vile. Nescafé would have been better. We had to wait 25 minutes for a Continental breakfast. The croissant was barely warm and there was only one other person in the room so it was not as if they were overrun

Murcott Mill, hotel in West Haddon

This charming Georgian mill house is set next to the village of Long Buckby, 20 minutes’ drive from Northampton.

What a delightful farmhouse B&B! Our room was spacious and comfortable. Our hosts were gracious and helpful. Breakfast was very good. And we enjoyed eating it at the big table in the formal dining room with the other guests. A great way to meet and chat with new and interesting people. Unfortunately, car trouble prevented us from exploring the nearby village after breakfast as we had to wait all morning at the B&B for the BAA tow truck. However, we enjoyed lazing in the sun in the front garden while we waited. All in all a very pleasant stay, car woes notwithstanding.

Food was exceptional Staff were better than exceptional Room was large.. Bed was comfortable but would maybe have like an extra blanket in the room.. Shower was really good.. I couldn't turn heating up in room... This is just a terrific old hotel with its main assets being quality food and staff... I would highly recommend..

We were visiting relatives in Long Buckby so didn’t spend much time in West Haddon itself. Have had a delicious Sunday lunch in The Sheaf pub in the village on a previous occasion. Londis is a handy shop.

Lovely quiet setting, our room had air con and an outside patio with comfortable chairs to relax on. Easy to get around as long as you have your own transport. Lots of choice of eating establishments within an easy drive

Really well appointed accommodation in converted barn/...

Really well appointed accommodation in converted barn/stables of an old farmhouse. Dogs welcome and 70 acres of farmland to explore, with many local footpaths to surrounding villages- some with pubs. Great views over the valley with fantastic sunset in good weather.

What a great place to stay.

What a great place to stay. My husband and I with our dog spent 3 lovely days here. We would have loved to explore the area more as there are lovely walks all around the farm, but due to sorting out our daughter’s forthcoming wedding we didn’t have time. Our single level cottage was fabulous. Beautiful views, well appointed, comfortable, clean and lovely and warm and as I have joint problems very much appreciated!! Great bathroom with shower. Oven, fridge, microwave . Comfortable sofa, armchair and large telly. Our host was a lovely friendly lady who made us feel welcome. The chickens were a shock for our dog but brilliant to be around. ( they freely wander around) All in all a brilliant place to stay. We would love to revisit. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!!
