The facilities in the house look fairly new. The house owner clearly cares about their customers - there are many details in the house that shows that, especially the details in the bathroom and living room.
Bedroom is clean and tidy. The house also has a fairly large garden - we did not use it due to the bad weather but it looks clean.
The street is very close to the main road, but very quiet.
We loved our stay and most definitely will return next year :)
Loved my stay in Wigan! This town is a hidden gem with its charming atmosphere, friendly locals, and a perfect blend of modern amenities and historical charm. From the picturesque parks to the vibrant local culture, Wigan has something for everyone. The welcoming community and the rich history make it a must-visit destination. Can't wait to return and explore more of this amazing town!

Wigan has always been a decent night out, we had arrived a little bit too late to go out into the city centre, so we decided to just get our head down and have an early-ish night, getting into the room, I noticed that somebody had been sick quite recently on the carpet of the room we were staying in as it still hadn’t been cleaned up, I would definitely think about not staying in that accommodation like this again

The place I lived in for the first 30 years of my life till 41 years ago is a depressing town to walk around that is losing its character to yet another go at modern development. Too many derelict shuttered buildings. The only town with a bypass that runs through the centre of it!

Wigan is under redevelopment at present, a reaction I suppose to the changing shopping habits of people. The town is no better or worse than many others I visit, but it does look like Wigan has taken action to reintroduce housing to the town centre which should bring with it a shopping and eating revival. My access to restaurants was limited as I arrived on a Tuesday. I was recommended a particular restaurant as being one of the best in the town. It was fine and the staff were wonderful, but I wasn't told when I booked (in person) that the only option was the pre-fixe menu, the a la carte wasn't available on Tuesday. I was there to meet with friends so the overall ambience of the town was less important, but I feel that Wigan is a town that isn't there yet but is trying to get there and will be a great place to visit when the redevelopment is complete.

We stayed in room 26 and the people in the room above were noisy all night - had no sleep so checked out at 5.30am - reported noise to night porter he said they’d been in and out all night have cigarettes. He said he’s done a walk about check at 5am and he could hear them being noisy but did nothing about it - had a 4 hour drive after having no sleep - I would request a full refund

Fist room unclean, had to put clothes on the floor, and the windowsill,no chair to sit on,had to sit on the bed.
Moved to another room, this was 100%better, very nice.
I tried to leave the hotel the next morning, I could not leave I was locked in the hotel, alone, eventually a cleaner had to go to another hotel up the road from this one, someone from there came and let me out, this was 75 minutes later.
All this resulting in me missing a very important meeting after travelling from the north east of England.
hotel looked nice on pictures, communal check in area and bar wasnt very inviting and we were asked to use the outside back stairs to exit. Room was very tastfully decoarated but there was a strong smell of urine which was offputting. the bar was full of strange men, some who clearly had mental health issues so we had one drink and left. we felt it was expensive for what it was, owner told us its significantly cheaper if booked direct
my daughter who has a grade 4 brain tumour made booking and made a mistake with the dates. The hotel refused to refund her the money even though she made another booking for the correct dates. Booking.com tried to contact hotel to explain but got no reply. An absolutely disgusting experience. She was told at the time that she would not be charged as she wouldn't be checking in but wham! they took the money from her account
Everything, very clean and modern, even tea and coffee towels left for us 👍 would stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family. Ideal for going to watch Manchester United play, 30 mins from the football stadium by car, or 5 min walk to the train station, and city centre 👍 night life looks good if that's your thing, or a nice chilled evening in w/spoons 👍
Nina was a professional and welcoming host.
The checking in and out was made effortless and the accommodation itself was amazing.
I would recommend Nina's place for anyone travelling to Wigan you won't find anything any better in the area.
Will be definitely staying again.
the hotel is beautiful set in a lovely quite area with scenic views and walks the staff was very friendly and the room was perfect, we enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna and had a swim then had a lovely walk to the white lion for drinks and food made my birthday perfect.
Stayed here for work for 5 weeks running now, easy check in, free parking for hotel guests, quiet area but close to the main town. Rooms are spacious, very clean and beds are comfortable. Toiletries and tea/coffee/hot choc tray provided are really nice touches.
The staff were really friendly, the hotel was easy to find also was 15 minutes from the town center. There was a beautiful park near by which me and my partner took a walk around. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We have booked for next year.
