I can highly recommend Pembroke Arms. It's a great place with mostly friendly and welcoming staff. It's just great value for money and a really nice place.

Perfect to have the pub on the opposite site of the road.
The Junior Suite was lovely and the equipment in the kitchen (plates, cutlery etc) sufficient for a one-night stay.
We liked the idea of the breakfast basket, although we would have loved to find some cheese or ham as well.
Robin Hill Cottage is a recently renovated villa in Amesbury, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.
