Such a beautiful location with amazing views. So peaceful. Staff were so helpful, I requested a room with a bath as I was travelling with my mum. They replied very quickly and were able to fulfil my request. On arrival you are given all the information on the hotel and their facilities. We are also shown to our room which was very helpful as it’s a large place. The room was very clean and tidy. Nice size with a separate loo and bath area. Ideal to have a restaurant on site so you don’t need travel outside the hotel estate. The food was delicious and the service was great! Breakfast included with the room was continental but there is a option to purchase hot. We were happy with what was included as there was a wide selection. Fresh fruit, cereal (of all kinds), toast, cheese, meats and yogurt! Again the service was great and very friendly. There are lots of lovely walks around the hotel as it is set it a beautiful location. Would happily return to stay here again.

Canaston Oaks, hotel in Wiston

Nestled in the picturesque Welsh countryside, the 5-star Gold award-winning Canaston Oaks has luxury barns & rooms with uninterrupted views.

We had a lovely stay here for one night. The room was a generous size with a lovely sitting area and ensuite. There was a complimentary pack of shortbread and red wine. There was a tall standing fan which was helpful in the hot weather. The view out of our window was gorgeous, overlooking green fields. We went for a walk in the grounds along the river which was easily manageable in our crocs! and we were accompanied by the hotel dog who was friendly but kept his distance. Lots of nice options at breakfast time and my dairy intolerance was accommodated with oat milk and margarine. Lovely fresh sourdough available. Soaps in the bathroom were very nice too. We took a taxi into Narberth which cost £15 each way and was well worth it to enjoy the local pubs and Hwb which had lots of beers on tap and some nice eateries. If you'd rather stay in they have a bar in house with a good selection of wines, beers, snacks and games.

Beautiful surroundings with great views and walks.

Beautiful surroundings with great views and walks. A lovely comfortable room with all the necessary conveniences. No lifts available so my mother had a problem with the stairs. Had to book a time for breakfast as there was limited space however the food and staff there were excellent. Would recommend as a quirky comfortable hotel.

Views from our room window were beautiful, as was the setting and various walks around the grounds. It was peaceful. A delight! The room was nothing more than what I would expect for the price, the bed was comfy, it was warm and clean. The large jacuzzi bath was a huge hit. A fridge/chiller would be a great improvement. The level of staffing really let the place down. I felt for the one member of staff who was dealing with reception, the bar & locking up. Reception on occasion was unmanned. Guests were complaining mainly about the lack of communication regarding the reduced hours of the bar and reduced opening days of the restaurant (I must add we were sent an email advising us). One couple cancelled their second night to rebook else where and failed to receive their breakfast that morning.

The hospitality was perfect. We were lucky with the weather was perfect so we enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace. We had our puppy with us so that was a perfect solution. Dogs are very welcome here. A splendid short stay

This place is in the middle of nowhere.

This place is in the middle of nowhere. It’s a daunting drive into the place. The building is rundown and looks like a mental hospital or a old jail. The place is not pretty at all. The staff were not very friendly. If u have a android device it won’t work Apple struggled. There is nowhere to go or walk. It has a weird sad feeling all around. I felt trapped the walls are thin. The food is nothing speshial over priced. The bar has 6 seats if that. It shuts at 9. All staff go home and ur left to it. The room wasn’t nothing really and wasn’t what we expected. The crowd from rooms are boring and didn’t want to look out after 9 it made me feel uncomfortable. The bed was massive and comfortable I will say that. I wouldnt go back if it was free not even for a hour. Boring odd feeling sad ugly place with nothing to offers tall I Felt like a prisoner. It’s not award winning. I sat awake as I couldn’t wait for day light. U can take a walk around the grave yard or the estuary of sincking sand. My advice don’t bother.

I have lots of food intolerances, gluten, lactose, fructose and nuts. The Chef adjusted the menu and I had excellent meals. Probably the best meals out since I was diagnosed 2 years ago. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are well equipped and comfy and the walks and bird song around the hotel the best.

Overall very disappointed, no facilities open no afternoon tea. No bar open on evening. Poor breakfast. Draft from rotting windows. Puddle of water in washroom/bathroom. No staff to be seen apart from when they are looking at you through above windows when we was waiting to see if the bar was going to open. Felt more like an hostel than an hotel. WiFi worse than useless.

The location of the hotel is truly magical!! Morning mist over the estuary is breathtaking. The staff could not have done more to ensure a comfortable stay. Dinner was superb, cooked and prepared to perfection with high quality ingredients, and breakfast well…… thank goodness for the vast grounds to walk it off!

The bedroom and bed provided great comfort. We arrived late form the ferry, the venue is deep into the country estate and more / better signage would have greatly assisted in getting to the hotel with less stress as the park is a proper dark sky area.
