I've spent over 12 months in Georgia on various trips and this was easily the best accommodation I've stayed at. The place is super clean and cozy, the people running it are the kindest and most professional I've ever met, and the FOOD is some of the best in Georgia. Their khachapuri, Shkmeruli, satsivi, and lobio are all 10/10 and are reasonably priced.
Giorgi was a huge help giving recommendations for stuff to do around Bakhmaro and even offered to help set us up with trusted accomodations in other places.

Dumbo eco camp was relatively easy to reach by taxi from Ureki train station, road conditions are good. At the same time, you are surrounded by lush nature. Loved being near the river. The bungalows were comfortable, and it was a privilege waking up and having and amazing view by the large windows. Would definitely recommend it.

A gem of a guest house with beautiful owners—a mother and daughter.
I cycled in to see the adjacent Archaeological Museum to learn about the Colchis and the Argonauts. I was not disappointed—a personal tour by the owner’s daughter, Salome. Super!! And the site was discovered when Salome’s grandmother was building the guest house!
Super super lovely people. Super clean, super comfortable. I happily ate dinner, breakfast and got a take away lunch. All delicious and prepared with love and care and, as it is Georgia, enough to feed an army. Delicious! Madloba!
I will definitely stay again—lovely, lovely people and a lovely guest house.

In my estimation, Bakhmaro represents one of the most remarkable destinations worldwide. The panoramic views of the encircling mountains, coupled with the crisp air and lush greenery, were absolutely breathtaking. The experience was so surreal, it was akin to traversing through a dream.
