was the second time we stayed at the hotel! We enjoyed the walks around. the fresh air, the view of the snow-capped mountains and the evening hours with a drink and chat in the hotel lobby, on the comfortable sofas, in front of the burning fireplace. The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are large and clean, with the fireplace always ready to light if we wanted, (but the central heating was enough) The breakfast is hearty, Greek (with lot of pies, sweet /salty (the spinach pie and olive bread are delicious!!!)
Thank you Magiosi family 😀

we intended staying for 1 night, but ended up staying 3. this is absolutely the best place to stay in greece. syrrako is an idyllic village without cars, located in a beautiful mountain range. casa calda really felt like home. it’s a tiny secluded piece of paradise, with beautiful, well-maintained and clean rooms, with an amazing garden with lots of flowers, and THE BEST HOST ever. the lady of the house (Poppy) is just the sweetest. she only spoke Greek (her son speaks English but was out of town) but we immediately wanted to adopt her like our grandma. She explained us with hand and feet everything to do around the area (hiking, sightseeing, rafting) and we felt so much at home. the breakfast served by Thomas was great as well our interactions and conversations throughout our stay. this is the perfect place to relax in beautiful nature and I am sure we will be back here! we recommend going in low season, to get optimal piece and quiet

The guesthouse is charming, beautifully furnished and decorated, with comfy beds, a well equipped shared kitchen and a veranda with magnificent view. It is located a short walk from the waterfalls, a few minutes drive from Rema Marks, and it's very quiet and peaceful. The village is isolated and the road is a bit tough, but it's in the midst of nature and it's a real village, not one made for tourists. Panos, the host, is extremely kind and knowledgeble to the level of giving us advice, online maps for hikes and telling us which routes have changed since the map was marked. If, like us, you come off season, be aware that restaurants and minimarkets might be closed and bring some food with you - we were not prepared, but Panos generously supplied us with delicious organic beans and vegetables that he grows.
