We had an amazing experience during our stay staring from the amazing host Stauroula who made as feel like home. The apartment we had booked had all the comforts and the breakfast was excellent with many options to choose from and ready for the time requested at your own privacy. We liked to be a bit outside of the center of Areopolis and enjoyed the peace the place had to offer.

It is such a cute lively town - the stony buildings, small taverns and cafes. It is located in Mani, my favourite part of Greece. We travelled with car, and in September it was easy to find parking places. We also visited Limani, a beach/village 10 min drive under. The sea was great, you can even spot turtles there!
We took some pasteries from the local bakery near the town's main church! Did not regret it 🙂.

A romantic town, I preferred it to every other small towns in the region including others to the north and south. While others were closer to the water, they didn't have the charm. Most had the main road running through the middle, while Areopoli had the road run on the northern edge, which allowed the streets to be shut down at night (possibly just the weekends?) For pedestrians only and turned into a lively romantic location with many restaurants and shops. There is a large public parking square that you can leave your car near the Petrounis hotel. And if you'd like to swim, Limeni village, the most picturesque village I've ever seen is down the hill, a 4 minute drive away, which has a nice swimming area. (Stay in Areopoli though as Limeni is basically made up of a few stone houses and sparse restaurants.)

Main restaurant street was interesting but variable in terms of quality, but picturesque.
Well served by local supermarkets if you are self catering
Not much to do in the town so a car is essential to explore. The caves of Diros are fantastic.
20 minute drive to Skoutari is well worth it. Beautiful sandy beach with an outstanding restaurant.

Areopolis is the "capital" of Mani, as the locals say, that connect's a lot of places to visit whiles staying there. As a town is not that big but has all necessary things to have a pleasant stay. Friendly people, nice food and nice atmosphere. My favourite place was the town's center with the restaurants, cafes, bars etc.
Everything was wonderful! The staff here goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The food was creative and made from local producers. We loved every meal. The Mani is a special place, that to truly appreciate, you need a guide. The kind and generous staff at this beautiful hotel is your personal guide. The best restaurants, hidden beaches and ancient churches are easy to access with their help. Thank you all. We loved every minute of our time spent with you!
The hotel was in traditional Mani style but at the same time, spotlessly clean and modern. We had a first floor room with a balcony at the back overlooking the car park with a distant sea view. The room was super quiet and dark at night and we had the best nights sleep in Greece yet. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous time and Areopoli is stunning at night in particular.
Nice quite small village above Areopolis. If you like walking you can reach Areopolis by foot. You can also attempt to climb the mountain towards Prophet Ilias Church. The apartment is a rather simple, non-lux, single-space one, everything you need for a pleasant stay for a couple of days. It has a nice sunny balcony next to a stone made garden with a view down to the sea. And above all the host was super!
This a a beautiful old hotel in the heart of Aeros Polis, conveniently located to the main road and right on the town square. It has a hotel bar and a roof restaurant (which I don't think was open when we were there in late October) and an elevator (no small amenity if your bags are heavy). The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Great location close to everything in Aeropoli and area sites. The staff, Kristina and Elena, were excellent, friendly, and personable. Our room, 301 junior suite, has (two!)great private balconies., and was simply fantastic (and quiet). This has been one our best accommodation experiences while touring Greece.
A beautiful boutique hotel right at the Center of Areopolis, the room was really spacious and comfortable, nice beds and airconditioning with a view at the main square.
Very nice location for breakfast, tasty options, pool with a view of the mountains.
Would love to stay there again.
Good location, walking distance to central Areopolis shopping area with it’s important historical landmarks (it was where the Greek War of Independence started). The facilities were good but the pool was overrun with bees so I was scared away. The staff were very friendly.
The room was very spacious and clean, walking distance from the center of Areopolis, with a beautiful garden and parking in front. Modern room with a beautiful decoration.
The lady who greeted us and gave us the keys was very pleasant. Overall a very good experience.
Everything about our stay at Ariá Estate was wonderful. It is incredibly peaceful and calm in the area and at the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Beautiful hotel, stunning views, and an overall perfect experience.
The staff was amazing. Food was perfection. Everyone made you feel so special. Our accommodations exceeded our expectations. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highlight of our 3 week Greece trip. Can’t wait to go back.
Gorgeous rooms with lot's of attention to detail and incredible Mani charm. We loved the unique design, traditional elements, how clean they were, and the AC that worked well during a heat wave :)
Excellent location, a few minutes away from the center of areopolis, comfortable room, value for money, very kind stuff available 24/7. Very nice choice if you are looking for something simple
very close to Areopolis (2 minute drive) but in a quiet location. Rooms are large, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with fresh savory pies, omelettes, cakes, etc.
