Stayed here to walk the Louisios Gorge. Room was fine, comfortable bed and a good shower, good view from the balcony. Good breakfast, more than enough to set you up for the day (the hostess kindly wrapped up some excess pies as a snack for my walk, far too much to eat for breakfast).

Dimitsana is a typical beautiful mountain village with very narrow, steep cobblestone streets. Very picturesque! We loved the experience.
The roads leading to it are challenging and the village streets very narrow; not for a nervous driver. Would not recommend to persons with physical mobility issues.

Dimitsana is great for a weekend visit, because it's located close to Athens with easy access. There are various things you can do, besides tasting great food. Hicking, walking in the forests, rafting are some of the activities you can try.

I feel like one doesn’t have a full picture of Greece without a visit to a hill town like Dimitsana. Lovely, lively, intriguing. Drive respectfully or not at all. Visit the monastery (you have to open the gate yourself during visiting hours), walk the hills, visit the water power museum and simply enjoy authentic Greece.

We appreciated the helpfulness of our host.
We appreciated the helpfulness of our host. He directed us to a hike that we wanted to make and helped facilitate transportation so we could be dropped off at one end and hike back to the village. We enjoyed a traditional breakfast both of the mornings we stayed at the guesthouse. The room was comfortable and we loved sitting on the balcony in the morning to enjoy the view of the village.

We stayed for 2 nights, which could have been longer, but there was so much to see in Peloponnese. We had a day to hike the gorge and visit monasteries, which shouldn't be missed. (One can actually drive close to them, but the hike was beautiful.) Some good restaurants in town, too.

A somewhat alternative destination, a beautiful village with a good selection of small shops and restaurants/cafes. Lots of options to hike in the surrounding forest and Lousios gorge as well as other outdoor activities in the neighbouring villages.
The breakfasts were incredible, gourmet, prepared for each guest with a unique menu each day. They were extremely generous with 3 courses presented beautifully and served with a smile. The manager and the owners are lovely and very attentive. Finding the hotel was a bit of a challenge but a simple call would work. There is a lift inside but you have 3 steps to get inside and the luggage has to be carried a short distance from the car to the guesthouse. It’s a lovely place and we felt very welcomed. They take great pride in their guesthouse.
I stayed here six years ago and loved it so much I wanted to stay again. These beautiful stone guesthouses are surrounded by lovely gardens, a big picnic area, with mountains all around. It was again an absolute pleasure to stay here, the rooms are very large, with front and rear decks, and it is so peaceful and relaxing. Even the bathroom looks out over the magnificent mountains of Dimitsana. Only a couple of minutes from the historic centre and great restaurants, this is a secret haven in the middle of nature.
The hotel is right in the city center. You hear the noise from the main road that passes right under the room until late at night. in addition, every hour the church bells ring.
The room is quite spacious, clean and comfortable but there is a problem with hot water.
There is no air conditioning so it is impossible to seal the room from the noise outside.
All in all, for those who don't mind the noise, the location is excellent.
A lovely, charming and very comfortable old style place (but with modern facilities); wonderful hosts - all these in absolutely amazing Dimitsana and views. Great location, good breakfast served in a very nice dining/living room setting. The host, Stefanos, was so kind to meet us and carry our luggage to the guest house and then back, when we were leaving. And he gave us great hints where to go and how to get there.
An outstanding hotel in the center of Dimitsana. In an historical building. Each room is exceptional and different. The hosts were also very nice and helpful: they organized a parking for two cars and helped with luggage (there is a stair climb to the hotel entrance). The breakfast was also exceptional - much more than one can eat and very fresh and tasty. The village itself is worth to spend some time.
We had to leave early to catch a flight in Athens. They came in at 6:30 on Sunday and made us breakfast. The hotel was at the end of town and a short walk to the trail. Elena took out a map and showed us the trail and the monasteries. She also pointed out where we could call a taxi. The room was lovely with a fireplace and a jacuzzi bathtub.
Hostess and son super nice and sweet. Loved breakfast nook. Great location!! Lovely view of valley and old church. Right on wonderful alley and near 2 famous places of history. Sorry we missed her hand baked sweets for breakfast as we had to leave. Very nice tho and we felt like family❤️🧿❤️ We were able to park right at hotel!!!
This was an amazing place to stay in Dimitsana. The owners were fantastically helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was the tastiest we have experienced in over a week travelling around the Peloponnese by far. The room was lovely and the hotel is a few minutes walk from the restaurants etc.
Location is perfect, because you can walk to Dimitsana's center where all bars and restaurants are located. Dimitsanas' streets are very narrow and the parking places limited. Room was perfect, with fireplace and jakuzzi and it was very not inside, despite the cold weather. Breakfast was fine too
Authentic, traditional place with an amazing breakfast and staff! Location was excellent. walking distance to everything. Clean, warm and very quiet. Bonus the Parking space in the heart of the Village! Wi-Fi was great! Perfect place to stay in Dimitsana. Highly recommended.
We loved our stay in this apartment - it’s large and comfortable. Kristi really made us feel at home, we were picked up from the town centre and there was fresh bread, fruit and jams. We used the fire both nights. Highly recommend this place for a great stay in Dimitsana.
The small hotel is beautiful decorated and our two rooms were extremely nice. In particular, the view from our room’s balcony was superb. The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. highly recommended.
We loved everything about the hotel. The room was lovely with a nice little balcony. Breakfast was plentiful wirh lots of homemade pies and pastries. The owners took good care of us. We really enjoyed our stay.
Dimitsana is a great place to stay in the mountains in high summer, and I was very happy to stay at Sophie's Stone House. Generous provision for coffee and other breakfast items.
Everything was perfect, great location for exploring the region around Dimitsana, very kind host, spacious room, very clean and decorated with taste. Abundant breakfast.
A brand new hotel, run by a lovely couple, the views were exceptional, a 5 minute stroll into the centre of Dimitsana, the rooms were spacious and the breakfast superb.
Only superlatives, the hotel and the location were excellent, but most of all the beautiful owners, Hara and Aris who made us feel at home away from home.
Genie is a great hostess and makes a fantastic breakfast. The hotel is beautiful furnished and impeccably clean. It is well situated and has a great view.
