Manolis was very pleasant and helpful. He gave me a quick tour of the town when I arrived and he also arranged informal bicycle hire for me. He accomodated my request for 4 pillows. The bedding was very clean and the bed very comfortable. There was a washing machine on the premises - invaluable to a lightly-packed traveller. The maid was very friendly and pleasant

Wonderful hosts, gorgeous villa, breathtaking view, great breakfast delivered to us. Two great beaches 3 and 15 mins away on foot. Agios Nikolaos was less than a 20 min drive away. Hosts went out of their way to help with any request we had. They cleaned the villa every day. Definitely recommend.

The apartment is so nice, it felt like home right away. Everything is just perfect, comfortable and has everything that you would need. Location is very convenient, next to all the restaurants and little stores, and 3 beaches are a few minutes walk away. Eleni is such a nice host, I don't want to leave and will definitely be back again. Thank you so much for everything!

Istron itself is a small town with some conveniences like...
Istron itself is a small town with some conveniences like ATM, tavernas etc. We stayed there not because we wanted to be in this particular town but because of the access it gave is to the surrounding area. With a car we could easily reach many beautiful beaches, ancient villages in the mountains, Ag Nicholas for history, churches etc. and some genuine Greek restaurants, mainly in villages. It is a good central point for many things that interest us.

Istron is a lovely place to stay with fantastic beaches and very friendly people. It is not an overly lively resort but has enough for older teens (Palace Bar was great and had lovely cocktails too and Friends had live music on some nights). It is also a great location to explore more of the island

If you want to relax soak up good food people and sandy beaches then stay for months on end. Car is always great to move around and get further out to towns like leopetra. There are nice restaurants all around the town and beyond. Never felt like I was short of choices and this trip was during April which many places close until the season.AvinashMalta - 10Scored 10
We were there for the last week of the season (late Oct) so...
We were there for the last week of the season (late Oct) so the hotel was half full and quiet, not sure what it would be like in high season, but we had a great time! Great location, good private beach, terraces, gardens and a great swimming pool alternative. Beautiful views. The food in the hotel was amazing - we had a breakfast and dinner deal which was perfect for us. Breakfast was a buffet with good choices every day. The evening meal was 4 courses - all delicious cretan food and different every night - we would consider staying here again just for the food! They also had a great selection of cretan wine - very well chosen - all delicious. Our room was simple and functional - perhaps more 'basic' than we were expecting. The double bed was (of course) two singles pushed together which wasn't so good. The wifi in the room was non existent - this could not be addressed, so we had to use the wifi in the bar (3 floors up). They should get this right for all rooms or make it clear that there is no wifi. Ending on a positive...we found all staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful, with 'good enough' to excellent English (our Greek is terrible..). The location is perfect: - 3min from Voulisma beach and other amazing small bay beaches. - 12min by car from Agios Nikolaos. - very nice & traditional villages around 15-30min ( Kritsa, Kroustas, etc). - next to the rooms there is a mini market that the owner runs, which is extremely convenient for daily stuff you need. The apartment is new, fully equiped & comfortable (washing maschine, iron available). Very friendly & welcoming owner!!! I would definitely recommend & revisit.

The host Ioanna made our stay unforgettable and we felt like at home. One of the things that we loved was when Ioanna brought us some figs of her own tree for the first breakfast! The appartment is clean and has everything you need for a perfect stay: kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room and we had a nice balcony with a view to the sea. If you want to feel at home in Crete don’t hesitate to stay at Pellas Appartment.

We were greeted by a very kind and hospitable host, with cakes, brandy and a basket of fruit. The apartment is spacious, airy. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The position could not be better: close to the road, market, restaurants. The western part of Voulisma beach and Panteleimon beach are a 10-minute walk away: ideal for morning swimming, without crowds and noise. A great base for exploring this part of magical Crete.
