Food in resort- a variety of Greek and local food, all delicious. My husband enjoyed his best ever lamb chops. Great buffet breakfast suitable also for my vegetarian daughter.
The beautiful main building with the lounge and bar.
We enjoyed a walk to the waterfall and enjoyed feeding the goats.
And of course the company of both Nyala and Lulu, the Greek shepherd dogs that welcomed us.

The place was clean, looked mostly new, and was well taken care of. There is even a kitchenette in the room and a nice fireplace and wood if someones need to warm the place. The kids were in a room next to us, which is convenient for families and enable privacy for the parents. There is a beautiful view of Plastira lake and the mountains. The breakfast brought to the room was nice and it was a pleasure to have warm water in the shower.

We truly loved everything! Archontiko Zakoni is amazingly located, has easy access and a breathtaking view of the Lake. The personnel are polite, authentic and caring towards their guests. Breakfast is certainly a highlight as it includes multiple homemade traditional Greek pies (spanakopita, cheesepie etc) that differ from one day to the other, local greek yogurt, variety of jams, fruits and cakes. The room was cozy, comfortable and impeccably clean. Another perk of Zakoni are the local greek wines offered at the bar along with boardgames to wind down after a day of adventures. Maria and Nassos are the best hosts!
