The host, Ilyas, and his wife were very welcoming. The pool area was good. We booked a two-bedroom flat which was big enough for a family of four. The cleaner is used to clean the flat daily. The kitchen has all the cooking items.

A lot of really positive things have been said about Despina...
A lot of really positive things have been said about Despina and not without good reason. From the moment I booked the villa she could not have been more helpful, she’s a superstar! The villa itself is really spacious(I mean REALLY spacious). The air conditioning is more than adequate and along with a decent sized pool(cleaned and serviced regularly)is a good way to cool down when you’re overheated! If I was to be picky I would point out that the general finishes in and outside the villa are a bit shoddy and needs updating. All three bedrooms have en-suite(which is great) however, it would have been nice to have fixed shower heads instead of hand held. The villa despite its ‘rough edges’ was clean, fully functional and a delight to stay in. We were sad to say goodbye. Ainos and a short but hilly walk to the castle, and some of the best restaurants and views on Kefalonia. Also very close to a market. The facilities include a large, immaculate swimming pool surrounded by chaises, an outdoor bar for snacks and drinks, and tables under shade trees. Friendly cats and kittens add to the charm. You need a car to see the island and a beach is the only thing within walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was good.

The location has a great view for multiple rooms. Everyday cleaning with a 160 euro price tag is a really good deal for kefalonia in august.
