Extraordinary, and the fish restaurant of plimiri, on the beach, very special We visited Prasonisi, Tari monastery, St Paul's Beach, Anthony Quinn Beach, Lindos, and the castle ruins of Asklipio. The beach across the road from the villa was cobbles and the water was very clear. The beach however was not very attractive as there was plastics, washed up wood, even an old mattress lining the edge. I feel that the Greek gvt should be taking more ownership of the tourist industry and making their country a pleasant experience. the location of the villa was far from decent size supermarkets and while very scenic, the road was busy at times. Prasanisi beach was about 20 minute drive away and it was good to watch the water-sports too. This beach was full of plastics and litter which could easily have been kept clean and more attractive if there was some ownership by the gvt. We travelled to Kotari or Pefkos for eating places as the small local restuaurants did not suit my children's tastes.

The host Anastasia was very friendly and stocked the fridge ahead of our arrival with fruit, bread, eggs, ham/cheese, juice and wine. The pool is fantastic. The villa is located in the quieter Southern side of the island, about an hour from the airport, and walking distance to the sea. There’s a cool Mojito Bar near by, Gennadi is 10 minutes drive away (with restaurants, shops and supermarket) and the beautiful town of Lindos is 30 minutes away.

Karen was an excellent host and was always on hand to help us with anything we needed . She organised our transfers and car hire. Even sorted out a lift to the airport with her son for my daughter who popped over to see us for the weekend ! She also left us a lovely welcome pack for our arrival including a home made quiche!

We really appreciated it and felt very welcome. Also the apartments were very clean and well equipped, the location was also perfect - far from the crowded areas, the beach by the house was like a private one, no one in sight, just our family. Greatly equipped house (including gas grill and beach equipment). Small but very useful swimming poll. Everything spotlessly clean. The staff always had a personal approach and even approached us by our names. We stayed during the forest fires and I am proud of the hotel stepping up and helping around 4000 tourists from other hotels who had to evacuate. On that note, the hotel staff worked around the clock to ensure that our experience is still of the highest level despite everything.karasikChina
