Nice town, lots of places to eat suiting all budgets.
Nice town, lots of places to eat suiting all budgets. Couple of bakeries, supermarkets. Waterfront locations but some nice places on the second row in too. Friendly working town, most of the tourists were Greek and probably outnumbered by locals. Good base, lots close by.

Marathopoli is a nice small (fisher) village. Easy to find, cosy. Few tavernas, excellent view to the sea. In the village itself is not much to see or do. But its a good starting pint to go and explore nearby towns (Pylos, Methoni etc), a number of beaches. Kalamata on not far away.

Marathopolis appears to be in the midst of a big push to improve its tourist potential, just as Pilos, Gialova and the surrounding coast have transformed into upmarket resorts over the past twenty years. However, even though the town does have a large selection of seaside resaurants and bars leading out of the port, they are hampered by the extremely rocky coastline for some miles north and south. A pity, since this will make all the difference to the tourist market.

I liked a lot the the view from my room in hotel Artina the food of the local taverns which are walking distance and the beautiful sandy KOA beach. Also worth definitely to visit Yalova for night life lunch and dinner.. Great opportunity for a short escape from daily routine as it is only 3:00 hours away from city of Athens.

Great seafood and traditional greek cusine.
Easy to reach by car very nice beaches
Koa beach ( with an amazing pool and terrrace),
Kookoonari beach ( don’t hesitate to stop and eat at Katerina”s Tavern) and not the last
the wild Voidokilia beach.
We came back to Esperides as it is such an amazing property. The garden and scenery are breathtaking. Watching the sunset and then sitting under a sky full of stars, are moments holidays are made of. The family running the property is very friendly and helpful. After exploring the surrounding area, we still find the adjacent village of Marathopoli the most charming and authentic. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to explore the south-west coast of Peloponnese as the ideal base.
Very nice cozy tylish apartment, washing machine, 3x golf courses 15' by car, out of the 6 in Greece. Superb location near the sea, Olympia, the airport, Pylos navarino and Vpodokoilia. in an olive tree field. Excellent hostess, great things around it, delivery breakfast, ANY TIME YOU NEED IT.... loved it. Hmmm we even locked ourselves outside and in 5'the hostess was there to unlock!.... Next year we were told also with a pool.
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, allowing me to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. The breakfast offered a variety of delicious options to start my day off right. What truly stood out, though, was the friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable.
Great value for money!
Lovely hotel, with great and helpful staff. The breakfast was great and diverse. It's just a couple of minutes walking distance from the town center with the taverns and cafes.
The room was spacious and clean.
The pool is also very nice with salt water from the sea.
Just what we needed in this part of the Peloponnese!
Artina is a very pretty hotel in front of the sea in Marathoupoli. We stayed in the new building and everything was pristine. The owners were very kind and helpful, the cleaning lady as well.
Nice, big rooms with great beds and many pillows. Fully equipped kitchenette and lovely balcony to relax in front of the sea.
The pool and breakfast/eating area were beautiful. The breakfast was a very nice start to the morning. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and and excellent value for what we wanted and needed. The staff was friendly and helpful, more so than we usually find in Greece. We would stay again without hesitation!
Walking distance to very beautiful long sandy beach
Safe and quiet place,
There was air condition available but we preferred to sleep with open windows
2km away from the town Marathopolis
Spacious bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen & private veranda
Beautiful gardens
I think I said it all in my review of 2019. So wonderful to be back after these three crazy years and it's still the real Greece (town, food, people and landscapes) with a hotel and pool that would be highly appreciated anywhere!
We loved it (again) and can't wait to go back!
the staff was super friendly and helpful, she answered all the questions we asked and gave us a lot of tips for travel around the area. Our room was clean and quite. Breakfast was good, exactly what we need to start our day. We had a good stay at Artisan Nouvo Hotel.
+ rooms are big, well and modern furnished with king size bed;
+ beach across the street is nice, with fine sand;
+ one of the most wonderfull beach in Greece - Voidokilia - is 15 km away;
+ breakfast is generous and goes late until 11:00;
+ staff is very polite;
it was a great spot and would have given it a higher rating all around, but we left because they we’re burning a trash pile right next to the hotel, and gave a couple of people in our group sore throats. when that no longer happens, it would get a full 10!
Friendly reception, upgraded to new hotel with kitchen, modern furnishings, desk, large room, quiet, seaview balcony, super size bed & comfy mattress, warm host, good water pressure
We really enjoyed how reactive and kind the host was, as well as the hotel: quite area surrounded by olive trees, nice swimming pool, clean and comfortable room
I recommend!
