Palladion Boutique Hotel, hotel in Mykines

Located in the central square of Argos Town, Palladion Boutique Hotel offers individually decorated rooms that open to a balcony.

The property was beautiful. It is a family run business and a great deal with attention seem to be given to all gas including us. The owners went out of their way to help us on several occasions with arranging a guide, recommending restaurants and even lending us some money until we can get to the bank the next day. They really went above and beyond. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very handy for Mycenae acropolis plus within easy reach of many other ancient sites - Nemea, the Argive Heraion, Dendra cemetery, Tiryns, Argos town, Midea, etc. Lots of advice on ancient sites and opening times. We also got specialist advice on walks from the hotel to outstanding rock-cut and Tholos tombs nearby that the package crowd don't see. Dinner at the hotel (not Sunday), plus there are 4 or 5 tavernas in the village (which is quiet after the coaches leave for the day).

The proximity to Mycenae is, of course, the primary reason to stay in Mykines. Accessing the site before the arrival of all the tourist buses, or especially enjoying the site later in the day (best light) after their departure, is wonderful. The town itself is small, simple, and geared primarily to service tourism. With that said, its actual location lends itself well to exploring the entire region in a convenient way.

If you are interested in classical Green civilisation, a great place to stay. Also for exploring that part of the Peloponnese. The world heritage archaeological site of Mycenae is stunning and is an easy walk from La Petite Planete guest house/hotel.
