A nice small town (or a village?), not too noisy for a seaside place; supermarkets available in the nearby area, a lovely promenade. Good for families and couples; good for walking after dinner along the beach strip.

The apartment is clean, spacious, with a large terrace overlooking the sea, its location is in a communicative place, there are many shops, restaurants and cafes nearby. I also recommend the hotel restaurant itself. The host is extremely kind, responsive, he even warned me in advance that due to the Easter holidays, I might not be able to reserve a table in a restaurant and offered to make a reservation in advance at the restaurant attached to the hotel. The menu was extremely rich, the food very tasty and with compliments to the customers. Apostolos is an amazing host, considering we had an accident with a flat tire and we didn't know who to turn to, he personally called a handyman and came even though it was long past his working hours. Mareleon is a hidden gem. We stayed at the bungalow. It is well equipped, excellent furnished, clean and modern. The beach beds are for free, and it has the perfect sunset. There is a pool, a restaurant, and a bar. The only thing that can be improved is the breakfast.

Dear administrator, We are writing you with reference to our experience related to the accomodation in Thalassa Complex, Ofrinio, Greece. Today 01.08.2021, that is our final night stay, we were informed that our septic tank defaulted (it is full, pics are available on request). Furthermore, we must not use our bathroom. We were offered to use another room - whichever we choose from the ones of our family members. This is in addition to the fact that yesterday we didn’t had hot water while the cold water was with extremely limited and insufficient volume. This is not valid for ours, but also two of the complete package of reserved apartments even don’t have water. Today, second day of the weekend, the situation was the same. Most unpleasantly, once we got to the accomodation [around 19:15 LT] after final day at the beach, there was no hot water, nor cold water. Essentially, we initiated a meeting with our hosts. We were offered to have a room for our basic needs which is slightly over 0,5 km from our room. Due to written above we were forced to consider leaving one day earlier, only to limit our exposure to ruin the complete holiday of ours. On the one hand, we were willing to leave and return home. However, we booked Sunday 01.08.2021 as our final night, not Saturday, only because my brother has his 40th birthday today and planned to have a family dinner as a nice holiday finish. We requested an official mail with info to the case today from our hosts. Even if we were promised to have it, until now we still don’t have it, thus we would like to inform you with this case. With our clean conscience, we would like to be refunded for our last night at this property and hope to have your soonest reply once the case is explored in details by your professionals. Good thing is that it is the nearest beach resort to Sofia, Bulgaria. Therefore 90% of the visitors are Bulgarian which is not the best since you want to get away from your countrymen. Everything in Ofrinio is orientated towards the Bulgarian tourists. All the signs of the restaurants, the menu cards and even most of the personell are Bulgarian. If you want to relax and feel Greece as it is, then you should avoid Ofrinio. On weekends the beach is extremely crowded with tourists mostly old ladies which come with large buses from Bulgaria for one day. If you dont mind the crowds and that there is nothing to do besides eat and sit on the beach you can visit. I've been to Greece hundred times and this place I liked the least.

A very convenient location to visit nearby archaeological places (Amphipolis, Eion) and nature wonders (Allistratis and Aggitis caves, Pangaion Mountain ). Also a short drive from Thessaloniki airport. I was told it gets very busy in summer months but it was perfect in May.
